Bypass check valve and Venturi having same
Check valves are disclosed and include a housing defining an internal cavity having a first seat and a second seat, and a seal member within the internal cavity translatable between a closed position against the first seat and an open position against the second seat. The second seat has a middle axis transverse to a plane of a longitudinal cross-section of the housing and has a shortest finger positioned to either the left or to the right of the middle axis. The seal member is seatable against the second seat at an angle or in a deflected position against the plurality of fingers, thereby defining a longer distance of travel to reach the closed position for a portion of the check valve disc that is associated with the position of the shortest finger relative to other portions of the check valve disc.
Control member for a fluid control device
A control member for use in a fluid control device is disclosed. The control member may include a through-bore for receiving a valve stem and one or more counter-bores aligned with the through-bore. One of the counter-bores may receive a connection member, such as a retaining nut, for connecting the control member to the valve stem. Accordingly, the connection member may be concealed within the control member and thus prevented from interfering with the fluid flow around the control member. Also disclosed is a fluid control device incorporating the control member and a method of assembling a fluid control device incorporating the control member.

Check valves, Venturi devices and engines having such check valves, define an internal cavity having a first port and a second port, a first seat and a second seat, and a translatable seal disk. The check valves have an outlet conduit extending from the second port and/or the first seat has a first annular seal bead and a second annular seal bead disposed radially inward of the first annular seal bead with a plurality of ribs extending between the first annular seal bead and the second annular seal bead within the fluid flow path of the first port. The outlet conduit defines an outlet passageway having a restrictor profile that is circular in a transverse profile, and the ribs decrease the flow area of the fluid flow path of the first port by about 10% to about 60%.

Check valves, Venturi devices and engines that include the check valves are disclosed. The check valves define an internal cavity having a first port and a second port, a first seat and a second seat, and a translatable seal disk. The first seat is proximate the first port and has a first annular seal bead, and a second annular seal bead radially inward from the first annular seal bead. The seal disk has a first sealing portion seatable against the first annular seal bead and a second sealing portion seatable against the second annular seal bead (both of a first thickness), an intermediate portion between the first and second sealing portions of a second thickness, and a lip portion defining the outer periphery of the seal disk of a third thickness. The second thickness is greater than the first thickness, and the third thickness is less than the first thickness.

Check valves are disclosed and include a housing defining an internal cavity having a first seat and a second seat, and a seal member within the internal cavity translatable between a closed position against the first seat and an open position against the second seat. The seal member is seatable against the second seat at an angle or in a deflected position against the plurality of fingers, thereby defining a longer distance of travel to reach the closed position for a portion of the check valve disc that is associated with the position of the shortest finger relative to other portions of the check valve disc.

Bypass check valves, suitable for bypassing a Venturi gap, are disclosed and include a housing defining an internal cavity having a first seat and a second seat, and a seal member within the internal cavity translatable between a closed position against the first seat and an open position against the second seat. The second seat defines a support structure having a middle region of a predetermine height and a downstream side having a height that is shorter than the predetermined height of the middle region. The seal member is seatable against the second seat with a downstream portion thereof a further distance from the first seat than an upstream portion thereof.
Fluid regulator having a biased pressure sense tube
A fluid regulating device includes a valve body, a control element, a control assembly, and a sense tube. The valve body has an inlet, an outlet, a valve port, and a control element adapted to be displaced relative to the valve port to control the flow of a fluid between the inlet and the outlet. The control assembly is operatively coupled to the control element and includes a diaphragm disposed adjacent a diaphragm chamber. The sense tube has a first end, a second end, and a sense hole. The first end is positioned to communicate with the diaphragm chamber, the second end is disposed adjacent the outlet, and the sense hole being formed in the sense tube between the first end and the second end and being oriented along an axis that is angled relative to an axis of the outlet.

In-floor pool cleaning system
A distribution valve of an in-floor pool cleaning system is provided. The distribution valve includes a housing having an inlet port and a plurality of outlet ports. A turbine within the housing rotates about a shaft in response to fluid flowing through the inlet port. The turbine is releasably coupled to a gear mechanism, and the gear mechanism is releasably coupled to a distribution valve disk, the disk having an aperture therein. As the turbine rotates, the gear mechanism also rotates and drives the rotation of the disk around the shaft. The rotation of the disk sequentially places the aperture over one of the plurality of outlet ports, thus allowing fluid to flow out of the outlet port over which the aperture is positioned, but restricting fluid flow into any of the outlet ports that are covered by the disk.
Solenoid valve
A first valve chamber, which receives a valve assembly of a tank closing solenoid valve, and a second valve chamber, which receives a valve assembly of a pressure responsive valve, are formed between a first flow passage and a second flow passage of a first housing by fitting a second peripheral wall of a second housing into a radially inner side of a first peripheral wall of the first housing. Thereby, it is not required to heat-weld and bond between a connecting end surface of the first housing and a connecting end surface of the second housing.
