VALVE POSITION INDICATOR
A valve position indicator for a valve includes an outer housing, actuation rod, indicator flag, and follower. The actuation rod is positioned within the outer housing, which is couplable to a tail stem protector of the valve. The actuation rod may have a helical slot formed therein. The actuation rod may be rotatably coupled to the outer housing. The indicator flag may be coupled to the actuator rod and may extend radially therefrom. The follower may be couplable to a tail stem of the valve. The follower may extend in a direction perpendicular to the extent of the tail stem. The follower may extend through a slot in the tail stem protector and into the helical slot of the actuation rod when the valve position indicator is coupled to the tail stem protector.
VALVE POSITION INDICATOR
A valve position indicator for a valve includes a spline barrel, indicator flag, and follower. The spline barrel may be generally tubular and may be positionable about a tail stem protector of the valve. The spline barrel may have a helical slot formed therein. The spline barrel may be rotatably coupled to the tail stem protector of a valve. The indicator flag may be coupled to the spline barrel and may extend radially therefrom. The follower may be coupleable to a tail stem of the valve. The follower may extend in a direction perpendicular to the extent of the tail stem. The follower may extend through a slot in the tail stem protector and the helical slot of the spline barrel when the spline barrel is positioned about the tail stem protector.
VALVE ACTUATORS PRINCIPALLY FOR WATER-CIRCULATION SYSTEMS OF SWIMMING POOLS OR SPAS
Multi-position valve actuators principally for water-circulation systems of pools and spas are detailed. At least some actuators may indicate position of an associated valve in a non-electronic manner, as by using a handle visible externally of the actuator and directly or indirectly mechanically coupled to the valve so as to move therewith. Hence, even if power to an actuator is disrupted, positioning of the valve may be determined by viewing the handle.
Actuator with brushless DC motor
An actuator includes a brushless DC motor, an output device, a reduction system coupled between the brushless DC motor and the output device, and a contactless position sensor configured to sense a position of the output device.
Valve actuator indicator arrangement
A valve actuator is described that comprises a piston movable within a cylinder, an indicator pin support member movable with the piston, and an indicator pin attached to the support member and extending through an opening provided in a housing, wherein the indicator pin includes an attachment region held captive to the support member, the attachment region extending through an arcuate slot formed in the support member. Also described is a valve incorporating such an actuator.
A Gas Pressure Regulator
A gas pressure regulator comprises a high pressure inlet and a regulator mechanism which is arranged to receive high pressure gas via the high pressure inlet, and deliver gas at a regulated pressure to a regulated pressure outlet. The regulator comprises a regulator element and a rotatable member that rotates to move the regulator element, thereby adjusting the regulated pressure. A gauge arranged to receive high pressure gas and display a measured reading of the pressure of the high pressure gas is also provided along with a regulated pressure indicator which is arranged to display a regulated pressure value related to the degree of rotation of the rotary mechanism. The regulator mechanism has a gear chain between the rotatable member and the indicator so that it requires multiple rotations of the rotatable member to move the regulator element through its full range of movement.
UNIVERSAL ADAPTER ASSEMBLY FOR VALVE ACTUATOR
A universal adapter assembly for coupling a valve actuator to a plurality of different valves having different actuator engagement configurations includes a plurality of interchangeable connectors, a drive shaft, and an adapter bracket. Each of the plurality of interchangeable connectors corresponds to one of the different actuator engagement configurations. Each of the plurality of interchangeable connectors has a proximal end and a distal end. The distal end is configured to engage a valve control knob of a valve having the corresponding actuator engagement configuration. The drive shaft is configured to engage the proximal end of each of the plurality of interchangeable connectors. The adapter bracket is configured to be coupled to the valve. The adapter bracket is further configured to include an opening to receive the drive shaft. The adapter bracket is further configured to include a set of apertures corresponding to the actuator engagement configuration. The adapter bracket is further configured to secure the adapter bracket to a mounting pad of the valve.
ACTUATOR WITH BRUSHLESS DC MOTOR
An actuator includes a brushless DC motor, an output device, a reduction system coupled between the brushless DC motor and the output device, and a contactless position sensor configured to sense a position of the output device.
Low-torque choke valve for well automation
A choke valve body of a valve apparatus includes a lower stem that terminating at a lower end thereof with a plug. A conduit traverses a lower portion of the lower stem between at least one plug aperture traversing the plug to at least one top aperture traversing an upper end of the lower portion. The lower portion is slidably retained within the valve chamber between closed and open positions. A bonnet fixed with the valve body has a bonnet chamber for receiving the lower portion, and a bore with at least one annular seal for slidably retaining an upper portion. A yoke assembly is fixed with the bonnet, terminates at an upper end with a drive mechanism, and includes an upper stem with a threaded upper end that is driven between raised and lowered positions by the drive mechanism, the upper stem fixed with the lower stem.
