Various systems, methods, and devices are provided for focusing particles suspended within a moving fluid into one or more localized stream lines. The system can include a substrate and at least one channel provided on the substrate having an inlet and an outlet. The system can further include a fluid moving along the channel in a laminar flow having suspended particles and a pumping element driving the laminar flow of the fluid. The fluid, the channel, and the pumping element can be configured to cause inertial forces to act on the particles and to focus the particles into one or more stream lines.

Ultra rapid cycle portable oxygen concentrator

Lightweight, portable oxygen concentrators that operate using an ultra rapid, sub one second, adsorption cycle based on advanced molecular sieve materials are disclosed. The amount of sieve material utilized is a fraction of that used in conventional portable devices. This dramatically reduces the volume, weight, and cost of the device. Innovations in valve configuration, moisture control, case and battery design, and replaceable sieve module are described. Patients with breathing disorders and others requiring medical oxygen are provided with a long lasting, low cost alternative to existing portable oxygen supply devices.

A modular fluid end for a multiplex plunger pump, each module machined from a single-piece steel forging with a plunger bore intersected by a linear suction/discharge bore and pumped fluid is discharged straight out through a top of the module into a discharge manifold made up using 1502 frac iron components. A compression clamp applies a crush load to opposed sides of the modules to extend service life.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR FILLING PRODUCT INTO CONTAINERS
20170327259 · 2017-11-16 ·

An apparatus for filling product into containers includes a working chamber through which the containers pass and the containers are acted upon by a sterile fluid to avoid contamination. An external line extends through the working chamber having a plurality of gas openings for the introduction of sterile air into the working chamber and that an internal line extends into the external line having a plurality of openings for spraying a cleaning medium. An annular chamber extends in a longitudinal direction between the internal and the external line. The cross-sectional area of the annular chamber varies in the longitudinal direction so that an even distribution of sterile air emerging from the gas openings into the working chamber is achieved.

Manifold flow splitter

The present invention regards a manifold for use in a flow system, comprising a longitudinal main pipe section (1) with one inlet (13) connectable to a feed pipe (9) and at least two outlets (14) arranged in a row along the main pipe section (1), where a center axis (15) of the main pipe section (1) during normal use extends in a mainly horizontal direction. The outlets (14) are arranged in a lower half of the main pipe section (1) and connected to outlet pipe sections (22) arranged with a center axis (21) extending with an downward angle from the main pipe section (1). The invention also regards a method for distributing a mixed flow into several pipes and a method for cooling a multiphase fluid.

Apparatus for diverting a flow of material

An apparatus comprises an input chamber being configured for accepting a flow of material. An output chamber is configured for flowing the material along a first pathway and a second pathway. A diverter member is disposed within the input chamber. The diverter member comprises a half wing shape pivotally joined at a juncture of the input chamber and the output chamber. The diverter member is operable to be positioned at a first position for diverting the flow to the first pathway and to be positioned at a second position for diverting the flow to the second pathway. A lever mechanism is configured to be operable for moving the diverter member between the first position and the second position in which the flow is uninterrupted.

Water inlet arrangement

The invention relates to a water inlet arrangement for the use in fish tanks in aquaculture, including a pipe to feed water into the tank, the pipe having a plurality of openings and, for a better adjustment of the flow, a surrounding second element having a plurality of openings and/or a fixed or adjustable shield are provided.

An example nonlimiting embodiment of the present invention provides a flow divider that includes a slurry receiving compartment and a discharge arrangement having a plurality of discharge apertures. The slurry receiving compartment is arranged to relatively uniformly flow a portion of a slurry into each of the discharge apertures. The discharge apertures may be arranged linearly and/or horizontally such that the portions of the slurry exits each of the discharge apertures at a relatively even flow rate and feed feed boxes connected to vertically tiered screening surfaces of a screening machine.

FLUIDICS SYSTEMS FOR SEQUENTIAL DELIVERY OF REAGENTS

The invention provides a passive fluidics circuit for directing different fluids to a common volume, such as a reaction chamber or flow cell, without intermixing or cross contamination. The direction and rate of flow through junctions, nodes and passages of the fluidics circuit are controlled by the states of upstream valves (e.g. opened or closed), differential fluid pressures at circuit inlets or upstream reservoirs, flow path resistances, and the like. Free diffusion or leakage of fluids from unselected inlets into the common outlet or other inlets at junctions or nodes is prevented by the flow of the selected inlet fluid, a portion of which sweeps by the inlets of unselected fluids and exits the fluidics circuit by waste ports, thereby creating a barrier against undesired intermixing with the outlet flow through leakage or diffusion.
