Protected graphics and related methods
An improved protected graphics assembly according to the invention comprises the following sequential layers: optionally, at least one adhesive layer; at least one graphics layer; and at least one outwardly exposed polymer layer that is essentially free of low surface energy materials and has a gloss value of greater than 90 when tested according to ASTM D2457-03 at a 60-degree angle. The assembly is beneficially applied to a variety of articles and used in a variety of related methods. In an exemplary embodiment, a race car comprises a protected graphics assembly that comprises: optionally, at least one adhesive layer; at least one outwardly exposed polymer layer that is essentially free of low surface energy materials; and at least one graphics layer substantially protected from exterior exposure by the polymer layer.
WEB AND METHOD FOR MAKING FLUID FILLED UNITS
An elongate flattened thermoplastic tube has an inflation edge and an opposite edge. The tube includes spaced transverse seals that define sides of pouches. The tube includes lines of weakness that allow adjacent dunnage units to be separated. A frangible line of connection is disposed in one two superposed layers of the tube proximate to the inflation edge. This frangible connection may be broken to permit inflation of the inflatable pouches.
FIBRE BASED PANELS WITH A WEAR RESISTANCE SURFACE
Building panels with a homogenous decorative surface having a wear layer comprising fibres, binders and wear resistant particles. A building panel including a surface layer and a core, the core including wood fibres, and the surface layer including a substantially homogenous mix of wood fibres, a binder and wear resistant particles, the substantially homogenous mix of wood fibres including natural resins.
Coating Compositions for Security Elements and Holograms
The present invention relates to the use of coating compositions, comprising shaped transition metal, especially silver, particles and a binder, wherein the ratio of pigment to binder is preferably such that the resulting coating shows an angle dependent colour change, for the production of security elements and holograms. When the coating compositions of the present invention are used in coating a hologram the obtained products show a an angle dependent colour change (flip/flop effect), different colours in reflection and transmission, an extremely bright OVD image and extremely strong rainbow effect, high purity and contrast.
RETROREFLECTIVE ARTICLES INCLUDING OPTICALLY ACTIVE AREAS AND OPTICALLY INACTIVE AREAS
This disclosure generally relates to retroreflective articles and methods of making such articles.
A HAND-HELD HANDLE DISPENSER
A hand-held handle dispenser comprising: a main frame having a handle, an adhesive tape roll provided at a rear side of the main frame for delivering an adhesive tape, an application element provided at the front side of the main frame for applying the adhesive tape on a parcel and a cutting blade for cutting the adhesive tape, a cartridge for storing an insert strip roll and transport and affixing elements for conveying the insert strip from the cartridge to the application element and affixing it against the adhesive tape to form a handle.
TRANSFER FILM, TRANSPARENT LAMINATE, METHOD FOR PRODUCING TRANSPARENT LAMINATE, CAPACITIVE INPUT DEVICE, AND IMAGE DISPLAY DEVICE
A transfer film has a temporary support, a first curable transparent resin layer, a second curable transparent resin layer in which the thickness of the first curable transparent resin layer is equal to or greater than 1 μm, the second curable transparent resin layer includes 5% by mass to 95% by mass of a metal oxide particle with respect to the solid content of the second curable transparent resin layer, and the first curable transparent resin layer does not include the metal oxide particle, or includes less amount of the metal oxide particle than the second curable transparent resin layer.
BATTERY AND METHOD OF CONSTRUCTING A BATTERY
A battery and a method of constructing a battery are disclosed in which a first conductive substrate portion has a first face and a second conductive substrate portion has a second face opposed to the first face. A first electrode material is disposed in electrical contact with the first face, an electrolyte material is disposed in contact with the first electrode material, a second electrode material is disposed in contact with the electrolyte material, and a conductive tab disposed in contact with the second electrode material. The first conductive substrate portion, the first electrode material, and the conductive tab extend outward beyond a particular edge of the second conductive substrate portion.
SYSTEMS FOR DRYING SHEETS OF DONOR-PROVIDED HUMAN TISSUE
Embodiments of this technology may include an apparatus for drying tissue. The apparatus may include human donor tissue placed in contact with and between at least two layers of backing material. This tissue and backing layer may then be restrained by two plates. This tissue may be amniotic tissue. The backing layer may include woven or nonwoven material. This backing layer may be wetted with a saline solution. At least one of the plates of the tissue drying apparatus may be perforated. The tissue assembly along with the plates may then be placed inside a chamber configured to receive the plates and tissue assembly. The chamber may be configured so that gas can be forced into the chamber with the gas flow going around the plates and the tissue assembly.
RESIN COMPOSITION, RESIN SHEET, AND CURED RESIN MATERIAL AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME
A resin composition constituted by containing an epoxy resin monomer having a mesogenic structure, a novolac resin containing a compound having a structural unit represented by the following general formula (I), and an inorganic filler is superior in preservation stability before curing, and can attain high thermal conductivity after curing.
In the following general formula (I), R.sup.1, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 independently represent a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an aryl group, or an aralkyl group; m represents an integer of 0 to 2; and n an integer of 1 to 7.
