Tape Dispenser
20170297853 · 2017-10-19 ·

A tape dispenser with a handle providing an optimized grip handle in a parallel axis with the tape spool axis. A burnisher and tape end guide serves as a guard that covers the sharp teeth of the device when in the closed position. As the burnisher and tape end guide is held in the closed position it provides a support surface. This position allows space between the resting surface and the roller which, in combination with the tape end catch and the contact surface of the main body ensures that the adhesive tape does not stick to the resting surface. The tape end catch works in combination with the burnisher and tape end guide, return spring, tape end guide, and formed-in axis, counter-bored hole to capture the loose end of the tape once the blade cuts through the width of the tape.

Dispenser with tear unit

A dispenser for dispensing web of paper, the dispenser including a housing, a dispensing opening defined in the housing for dispensing paper. A tear unit is arranged at the dispensing opening for facilitating tear of the paper upon moving the tissue paper over the tear unit. The tear unit includes a tear unit body, and the tear unit body includes a friction surface provided with an elastomer. The elastomer includes rounded protrusions distributed along the friction surface such as to facilitate tearing during dispensing.

A tape dispenser with an ellipsoid shaped handle providing an optimized grip handle in a parallel axis with the tape spool axis. The ellipsoid shaped handle of the present invention provides an optimized grip angle orientation for directly dispensing packaging tape. The ellipsoid shaped handle of the present invention provides greater freedom of angular movement, articulation, and force application while providing improved weigh distribution of the working components (handle, tape spool, and cut off device). The tape dispenser is comprised of: a u-shaped main body and arm, which are attached to a plurality of interior components removeably affixed between them by a plurality of screws. Interior components are a stem, small support, large support, blade, roller, cushion handle, tape end guide, blade, burnisher, and platen. The generally V-shaped main body defines a base structure for the dispenser to sit solidly on top of a flat, horizontal surface.

Tear-assist apparatus

A system for processing a line of material along a path and a tear-assist apparatus. The tear-assist comprising a driving portion that drives the line of material along the path, a sensing unit that detects pulling of the line of material in a first direction along the path away from the driving portion, and a cutting member for cutting the line of material. The driving portion can also be configured to drive the line of material in the first direction along the path to dispense the material.

Adhesive tape dispenser for folded edge tape

An adhesive tape dispenser and applicator which folds one or both edges of tape being applied over upon themselves. The dispenser includes an edge folding guide having a planar surface, two inwardly converging edges and tape guides cooperating to fold the edges of the tape. A compression roller is provided to press the edges together. A method of threading tape onto an edge folding tape dispenser is also described.
