High strength blind installation hose and cable clamp retainer

A retainer has a first ratcheting receiver that engages a strap in a one way ratcheting relationship that allows a free end of the strap to be passed through the first ratcheting receiver and a shank to be thereby pulled toward the first ratcheting receiver but not drawn away therefrom. The first ratcheting receiver backs an extension post protruding from the retainer such that the shank is sized to pass through an opening in a wall but is prevented from being withdrawn from the opening when the retainer is urged against the wall such that the extension post occupies at least a portion of the opening. A second ratcheting receiver is affixed to the retainer and receives the free end of the strap for securing a load to the retainer after the shank has been urged toward the first ratcheting receiver to secure the retainer to the wall.

Wide filament fastener and stock

A length of fastener stock (111) includes opposing first and second continuous side members—(113-1) and (113-2) which are coupled together by a plurality of flexible cross-links (117). Individual fasteners (121) are selectively obtained from the stock (111) by cutting or separating the side members (113-1) and (113-2) at appropriate points (i.e., midway) between the cross-links or filaments (115). Accordingly, each fastener (121) will include a first cross-bar (123-1), which has been cut from side member (113-1), and a second cross-bar (123-2), which has been cut from side member (113-2), the cross-bars (123-1) and (123-2) being interconnected by the flexible filament (115). Suitably, with respect to an axial cross-section thereof, the width W of the flexible filament (115) is greater than or equal to approximately one and a half-times the height H of the filament (115).

Flexible connector

A flexible strap connector is disclosed. The connector comprises a strap having a buckle head at one end and a tongue at the opposite end. Ratchet teeth extend on one side of the strap and the ratchet teeth cooperate with the buckle head to permit movement of the strap in a first direction and to prevent movement of the strap in a second direction. A second slot is formed in the strap itself and it is a non-locking slot. When the strap is in the second slot, the strap is free to move further into the slot and free to be withdrawn from the slot. Embodiments where the buckle head and ratchet teeth are replaced with hook and loop fasteners are also disclosed.

Flush cut tie device

A flush cut tie device facilitates flush trimming of excess after securing a tie device. The device includes a tie and a channel coupled to a first end of the tie. A projection is positioned in an interior of the channel. A plurality of ridges is positioned in spaced relationship along a length of the tie wherein one of the ridges is engaged by the projection when a second end of the tie is extended through the channel. A pair of grooves extends into opposite exterior faces of the channel wherein the grooves are positioned for facilitating engagement of clippers to the channel and cutting an end portion of the channel and the tie from a main portion of the channel. Thus, a cut end of the tie is flush with the main portion of the channel when the end portion of the channel is clipped.
