A twist tie assembly has a flexible wire tie with an end cap component configured to retain the flexible wire tie in the base. Various embodiments of the end cap component provide means for releasably securing the flexible wire tie to a base or support structure.

Described herein are devices pertaining to the closure of containers having at least one opening, such as bags. These devices can have at least one connecting structure configured to fit over at least a part of the container's opening, with the connecting structure being connected to at least two sides of the container. In some embodiments, the closure devices have base structures that the connecting structure can connect to and/or be held in place by. In some embodiments, these base structures are configured such that they substantially conceal the portion of the container to which they are connected. In some embodiments, the base structures have festive shapes, for example, being shaped like a birthday cake or flowers. Coupled with the ability to conceal the underlying container, the closure devices can effectively transform a basic paper bag into an enclosed festive gift bag.

A fastener and a method of making and using the fastener is provided in which the fastener includes a base having a top portion and a bottom portion. The bottom portion includes an adhesive layer portion. An elongated pliable core member is coupled to the base, with the core member having first and second ends, with at least the first end extending beyond an edge of the base. In another embodiment the base is configured to define a plurality of notches, with each notch configured to define an apex proximate the center of the base and extending with the edges toward an edge of the base and with two notches on each side of elongated pliable core member. The plurality of notches defines two sections of the base, with one section configured independently of the other section and with one section on each side of the elongated pliable core member.

A container includes a pair of flaps, which can be brought close to one another, one of the flaps having a buttonhole; and a clasp designed to get through the buttonhole. The clasp includes an anchoring portion, which is fixed to the other one of the flaps; a wide portion, which is designed to prevent the clasp from moving apart from the buttonhole; and an intermediate connection portion, connected, through a pair of hinges, to the anchoring portion and to the wide portion, respectively. The wide portion and the anchoring portion are configured to rotate relative to the intermediate portion, so that the clasp is able to assume a plurality of operating conditions. The buttonhole is designed to interact with the clasp based on the operating condition assumed by the clasp, allowing the flaps or walls be brought close to one another or preventing them from moving apart.

An adhesive clamp for reclosing a packaging bag, the adhesive clamp comprises a tape having one side of the tape coated with an adhesive substance and a clamping strip of foldable non-elastic material attached to the adhesive side of the tape and where the tape is wider and longer than the clamping strip.

An improved bag clamp comprises a first jaw member and a second jaw member. The first jaw member has an opening in a clamping surface thereof and the second jaw member a blade reciprocatingly mounted therein. A hinge couples the first jaw member and the second jaw member. The clamp is moveable between an open configuration in which the first jaw member and second jaw member are angularly spaced and a closed configuration in which the opening in the first jaw member is aligned with the blade of the second jaw member.

A sealing and cutting assembly for engaging a bag to cut and reseal the bag comprises a first sealing strip and a second sealing strip connected at corresponding ends thereof and engaging both sides the bag therebetween. A slider block is movable along the first sealing strip and the second sealing strip. Movement of the slider block in a first direction bringing the first sealing strip and the second sealing strip into sealing engagement with one another to seal the bag, and movement of the slider block in a second direction releasing the first sealing strip and the second sealing strip from said sealing engagement to open the bag. A cutting mechanism mounted on the slider block, wherein the cutting mechanism moves with the slider block along the first sealing strip and the second sealing strip.

A hair clamping device includes a clamping member and a stretching member. The clamping member is a flexible arcuate member including first and second engaging ends releasably engaged with each other. The clamping member is in an extended state when the first and second engaging ends disengage from each other. The clamping member is in a clamping state when the first and second ends engage with each other. The clamping member in the clamping state defines an annular through-hole in a central portion thereof. The stretching member has an outer diameter smaller than a diameter of the through-hole of the clamping member in the clamping state. The stretching member includes an outer surface connected to an inner face of the clamping member. A hair clamping slot is defined between the inner face of the clamping member and the outer surface of the stretching member in the clamping state.

A coupling and uncoupling apparatus for closing a bag or a package in the form of a clamp. The clamp has a latching assembly for closing the bag or package. The clamp can have at least one lock assembly. The at least one lock assembly is configured so that if breached or missing can be reasonably be expected to provide visible evidence that tampering has occurred. The clamp has a passage configured for a bag neck to pass through. The latching assembly may have two long complementary members, one on each arm that latch when closed or a plurality of short complementary latching members pairs disposed on each arm that latch when closed. This coupling and uncoupling apparatus is suitable not just for closing and sealing food bags and packages, but also for sealing tubing such as used in medical applications, as well as coupling and uncoupling wiring and cords.
