A ratchet device includes a ratchet wheel. The ratchet device further includes a first lever, the first lever rotatably interconnected with the ratchet wheel. The ratchet device further includes a second lever, the second lever rotatably interconnected with the ratchet wheel. The ratchet device further includes a first pivoting bracket, the first pivoting bracket pivotally interconnected with the first lever. The ratchet device further includes a second pivoting bracket, the second pivoting bracket pivotally interconnected with the second lever. The first pivoting bracket has a first position where the first pivoting bracket is rotated to engage the ratchet wheel and a second position where the first pivoting bracket is rotated to disengage from the ratchet wheel.

A self-lubricating tie-down includes a frame including two walls, a reel, two ratchet wheels, two detents, a short strap and a long strap. The frame includes two walls each of which is formed with a bushing. The handle includes two blades each of which is formed with an aperture. The reel includes two terminal sections inserted in the bushings. The two ratchet wheels are connected to the reel. The first detent is movable on the frame and operable for engagement with the ratchet wheels. The second detent is movable on the handle and operable for engagement with the ratchet wheels. The short strap includes an end connected to the frame. The long strap includes an end connected to the reel so that the reel is operable to wind the long strap. Each of the bushings includes at least one recess and lubricant filled in the recess.

A ratchet device includes a ratchet wheel. The ratchet device further includes a first lever, the first lever rotatably interconnected with the ratchet wheel. The ratchet device further includes a second lever, the second lever rotatably interconnected with the ratchet wheel. The ratchet device further includes a first pivoting bracket, the first pivoting bracket pivotally interconnected with the first lever. The ratchet device further includes a second pivoting bracket, the second pivoting bracket pivotally interconnected with the second lever. The first pivoting bracket has a first position where the first pivoting bracket is rotated to engage the ratchet wheel and a second position where the first pivoting bracket is rotated to disengage from the ratchet wheel.

A tie down apparatus wherein a center leg of each of a pair of load springs is mounted in a space between a pair of drum pins, which space receives and holds a tied down strap. Each load spring is fixedly attached to a respective one of first and second ratchet wheels and has a tab having an outer end positioned in a respective arcuate slot of a respective circular plate, each circular plate being mounted to rotate with the drum pins.

The invention discloses a tensioner comprising a belt shaft, a first bracket and a second bracket, a belt shaft hole is provided at a front end of the first bracket, the belt shaft passes through the hole and is hinged with the first bracket; a surface of the belt shaft is provided with a ratchet fixedly connected thereto and gaskets provided on two sides of the ratchet; one end of the second bracket is provided with a clamping portion, the clamping portion clamps two ends of the belt shaft and protrudes outwardly to form an accommodating cavity, balls are provided inside the accommodation cavity, and the balls are installed on an outer gasket of the belt shaft. The plastic gaskets greatly reduce the friction between the ratchet and the bracket, the balls provide a certain degree of freedom for the belt shaft to prevent the belt shaft from jamming.

A strap tightener for securing cargo is disclosed. The tightener includes a base frame and a handling frame, which pivotally connect to form a vee structure. The base frame is connected to the handling frame by inserting a pivot into pivot hole thereof. Each of two ends of the pivot is ringed with a protection loop and a ratchet wheel. The protection loop is composed of a flange for being blockedly fixed on the pivot hole and a sleeve for penetrating into the pivot hole. The sleeve can protect the pivot hole to prevent it from being directly pressed by the pivot.

The frame includes two walls each of which is formed with a bushing. The handle includes two blades each of which is formed with an aperture. The reel includes two terminal sections inserted in the bushings. The two ratchet wheels are connected to the reel. The first detent is movable on the frame and operable for engagement with the ratchet wheels. The second detent is movable on the handle and operable for engagement with the ratchet wheels. The short strap includes an end connected to the frame. The long strap includes an end connected to the reel so that the reel is operable to wind the long strap. Each of the bushings includes at least one recess and lubricant filled in the recess.

A webbing capture area includes a first side plate and a first pin, the first pin in a first slot of the first side plate, the first pin providing rotation of the first side plate about the first slot. The webbing capture area further includes a second pin, the second pin fixed in the first side plate distal from the first pin, such that upon rotation of the first side plate, the second pin rotates on a lever arm of the first side plate. The slot has a first position and a second position and when the first pin is in the first position the first side plate in non-rotatable and when the first pin is in the second position the first side plate is rotatable.
