A stopper for securing an end of a lace in an article having at least one eyelet, the stopper comprising a body member having first and second sides and first, second, and third through openings. The second through opening is located a spaced distance from the first opening. The third through opening being located on a side of the first through opening opposite the second through opening and being sized and dimensioned to spread at portion of the lace in the third through opening into a flattened form. The lace engaging edge on the body member located on a side of the second through opening generally opposite the first through opening for passage of the lace thereover from the second through opening to the third through opening.

A stopper for securing an end of a lace in an article having at least one eyelet, such as a shoe, without having to form an exposed knot. A thin, rigid body includes a series of openings arranged in a row, including a first, middle opening through which the lace is routed from the eyelet, a second opening proximate one end through which the lace is routed from the middle opening, and a third opening proximate an opposite through which the lace is routed from the second opening via the first end of the body, the third opening having a slot-shaped configuration. When tension is applied to the lace, as by a foot being inserted into a shoe, a locking engagement is formed between the lace and stopper and the stopper reacts against the eyelet. The stopper may be hidden from view behind the eyelet stay of a shoe.

A retainer assembly for securing a knot defined by a pair of shoelaces of a shoe includes a base member, a clamping member, and a clip member. The clamping member is engaged with the base member and telescopically moves relative to the base member between an extended position and a retracted position. The clamping member includes a clasp. Moreover, the clip member is pivotally coupled to the base member and is adapted to engage with the clasp when the clamping member is arranged in the retracted position to secure the knot between the clip member and the clamping member

A retainer assembly for securing a knot defined by a pair of shoelaces of a shoe includes a base member, a clamping member, and a clip member. The clamping member is engaged with the base member and telescopically moves relative to the base member between an extended position and a retracted position. The clamping member includes a clasp. Moreover, the clip member is pivotally coupled to the base member and is adapted to engage with the clasp when the clamping member is arranged in the retracted position to secure the knot between the clip member and the clamping member.

A stopper for securing an end of a lace in an article having at least one eyelet, the stopper comprising a body member having first and second sides and first, second, and third through openings. The second through opening is located a spaced distance from the first opening. Each of the pair of shoe lace securing mechanisms has a container having a hollow interior storing unused portions of the shoe lace. A mechanism secures one end of the shoe lace to the container. A first connector is coupled to a bottom surface of the container attaching the container to the shoe.

The storage device comprises a lower member, an upper member, and a joint that permits articulated motion between the lower member and the upper member in a first direction along the longitudinal axis of the storage device. The upper member comprises an enclosure with an inner cavity that receives the laces therein. In one example, the outer member comprises a pair of closure members that articulate in a second direction toward the longitudinal axis.
