In one aspect of the present disclosure, a flexible cord management device is provided. The device includes a helical coil base, an s-loop, and a post. The base can be wrapped around at least a portion of a bundled cord. The s-loop includes a first loop and a second loop, where the first loop is coupled to a first end of the base. The first loop can be opened to receive a first end of the bundled cord, such that, the first end of the bundled cord is securely disposed through the first loop. The second loop is coupled to the first loop. The post extends from the first end of the base and can be inserted through the second loop to secure the first loop in a closed position and removed from the second loop to enable the first loop to achieve an open position.

An article for coupling bands, cords, straps and the like to bundle items. The coupling article comprises a body having at least two end sections each having a cutout and passage means formed therethrough to removably retain a portion of a tensile line. A user may use an end section of the coupling article to engage a first portion of a closed-loop tensile line, encircle one or more objects, and engage a remaining portion of the closed-loop tensile line with an opposing end section, thus holding the objects together. A user may also secure objects using the coupling article in combination with an open-loop tensile line by wrapping the tensile line around a first end section, within the cutout and securing with a knot. With the remaining open-loop tensile line, the user would encircle one or more objects, and then wrap the open-loop tensile line around a second end section, within the cutout and secure with a knot. The coupling article may be constructed of plastic, metal, or other rigid material to meet the needs of the application. The dimensions of the coupling article may be of varying size depending on the desired compressive force needed on the objects, and the size and strength of the tensile line.

In the preferred “apparatus” embodiment, the seismic fitting, when anchored, comprises: a base with a substantially circular footprint; a substantially circular inner channel, in the base, housing a midsection of cable (preferably wire rope); at least two cable exits in the inner channel, wherein the cable exits are chamfered to prevent and radially equidistant from one another; and a fastener (e.g., a concrete anchor), extending through the entire base, and having one end anchored in concrete; wherein opposite ends of the cable extend beyond the channel and fitting.

A bungee bead apparatus includes a bead and elastic cord with first and second ends fixedly secured in proximity to, or in contact with, each other at one end of the bead to form a loop. A circumferential recess formed between first and second sides of the bead extends from the bead's first end to its second end, having a cross-sectional height and width to receive the loop of the elastic cord therethrough. The orifice extends at an acute angle, positioned midway between the bead's first and second sides, and begins at the bead's first end in proximity to the first side, and transects the circumferential recess at its second end. The circumferential recess is annular with a depth of about one-half the diameter of the cylindrical elastic cord to receive only a portion therein. The recess and orifice permit two (or more) such apparatus to be linked together.

A shoelace securing assembly for securing shoelaces on shoes without tying the shoelaces includes a block that has a plurality of apertures each extending therethrough. Each of the apertures insertably receives a respective one of a pair of shoelaces on a shoe having the shoe laces arranged into a pair of loops. In this way the block facilitates the shoe laces to be secured in lieu of tying a knot. Thus, the block facilitates a child to secure the shoe on the child's foot without knowing how to tie the shoelaces. Each of the apertures has a prominence therein and the prominence in each of the apertures frictionally engages the respective shoelaces for retaining the shoelaces in the block.
