Convertible garment systems and related devices and methods are shown and described. In one example, a convertible garment system includes a bathing suit and a pair of detachable-strap-interfaces, each configured to removably connect to the bathing suit's lower straps, and removably connect to the bathing suit's upper straps, thereby creating a second configuration for the pair of upper straps. In another example, a device includes at least one detachable-strap-interface for converting a bathing suit.

A buckle assembly for a stirrup strap is disclosed, one aspect comprising a plate connectable to a first end of the strap, the plate having a tongue extendable from the first end of the strap, the tongue having at least one pin extending perpendicularly from the first side, the pin being insertable in a strap through-hole near a second end thereof; and a receiver having a sleeve with a first side and a second side, the sleeve being configured to slidably receive the second end of the stirrup strap and the tongue when the pin of the first side of the tongue is positioned in one of the through-holes, the receiver further having a spring latch with a distal end having an opening for receiving the pin, the spring latch moveable between a locking position and a release position.

The present invention is a resettable load-limiting adaptive seatbelt apparatus having the means to readily allow release or disengagement of the seatbelt apparatus at a predetermined load in response to a first situation, and having the means to prevent release or disengagement of the seatbelt apparatus at the predetermined load in response to a second situation, and yet having the means to allow limited non-disengagement load-limiting payout of the seatbelt apparatus at a variable predetermined load in response to a third situation.
