Simplified ratchet strap and buckle assembly
Disclosed is a ratchet strap and buckle assembly comprising an adjustment ratchet strap comprising a ratchet strap end, and a plurality of ratchet teeth arranged thereon and a single-piece buckle having a locking tooth and a flexible top element, wherein the single-piece buckle comprises a passageway for the ratchet strap end to be inserted therein, and wherein the flexible top element is configured to engage with at least one of the plurality of ratchet teeth using the locking tooth upon insertion.
Method of securing a sash window and door for transport
A clip assembly may safely secure sliding sashes of a window or door during transportation, and, in one embodiment, be comprised of a strap member and a pawl member. The strap member may be comprised of a bumper portion, and a strap portion extending therefrom, where the strap portion may have a plurality of teeth formed within the thickness of the strap. The pawl member may have a pair of sidewalls supported by a top wall and an intermediate wall. The top wall may have a protrusion which includes a plurality of pawl teeth formed to complement the strap teeth, and be located proximate to the intermediate wall. The strap may be introduced through the gap between the top rail of an upper sash and bottom rail of the second sash, to then be inserted into the pawl, and thereby be retained by the respective teeth to secure the sashes.
Side release buckle fastener with semi rigid insertion structure
A quick fastening and disconnecting buckle fastener system is configured for improved ease of one handed adjustment. For reliable locking, and convenient operation the system incorporates lateral pivoting latches assembled within a receiving enclosure shell having entry and exit openings accommodating a lengthwise semi rigid insertion structure containing lateral opposing ridges. Said ridges cooperate with said latches in a manner allowing ease of continued entry directional movement and securely locking should motion be reversed. Purposeful disconnection is activated thru simultaneous press in of side levers releasing latch locking of insertion structure thereby allowing movement in a reversed direction. Use of aforementioned fastening device removes need for having to re-lace belt thru attachment loops or additional sliding hardware as means of adjustment.
Asymmetrically releasable fastener system and cuff for use therewith
A fastener system comprising a strap incorporating a plurality of teeth and comprising a buckle incorporating a plurality of slots. The strap can be engaged by the buckle such that the strap resists disengagement by a separating force applied generally equally across the width of the strap and the buckle, but will disengage upon application of an asymmetrical force applied proximate either just to the top edge or just to the bottom edge of the buckle and strap. The fastener system can be associated with a cuff or other article so as to releasably maintain two opposing side edges of the cuff in proximity to each other.
Strap latching device
A latching device secures a strap to a piece of sports equipment. The latching device includes a buckle and a base. The buckle has a main body portion. The main body portion has an integrally formed collet and has a first slot and a second slot. The first and second slots each having a plurality of teeth shaped members that are configured to secure the strap to the buckle. The base is attached to the piece of sports equipment. The base has a first shaft and an annular ring. The first shaft has a first end and a second end. A ball shaped member is attached to the first end of the first shaft. The annular ring is formed on a periphery of the base surrounding the first shaft. The ball shaped member is releasably received in the collet to releasably engage the buckle with the base.
