Retainer assembly having a rotatable, releasable snap button engagement
An assembly is disclosed, the assembly for providing release structure to a lanyard or strap adapted to be worn on the body, such as a neck strap. The release structure consists of a snap button assembly configured such that the release pull generated by tension in the strap is directed along an axis perpendicular to the closure and rotation plane of the male and female portion of the snap button assemblies. With structure to configure a release pull in such an axis, a safety feature is provided to the wearer such that tension in the strap, when it reaches a sufficient force to overcome the closure forces of the snap button assembly, will release the closed snap button and allow the strap to fall away from the body. Also, as in the case of a firefighter wearing an SCBA fire mask, it prevents the firefighter from being entangled or tethered if the strap were to get accidentally hooked or caught on something. The breakaway will allow the firefighter to continue using the mask with no interruption of breathing air from the mask. In lanyards and tool holders, those fall away from the body. In the case of a firefighter, the mask does not fall away from the body.
Attachment for facilitating securing of a load with a strap, rope or the like
There is disclosed an attachment for facilitating positioning of a pliable or flexible line such that said line extends over at least one object, the attachment being removably attachable to a free end of said line and being able, when so attached, to be thrown so as to carry the end over the object(s) whereby said positioning is effected.
Syringe and method for reconstitution of dry-form drugs and medicines
A method of reconstituting and administering an injectable fluid distributed to practitioners in dry-form includes receiving a drug or medicine in dry form, selecting a reconstitution concentration for the drug or medicine, reconstituting a desired number of units of the drug or medicine by adding diluent to the dry-form drug or medicine, selecting a syringe having units marked according to the selected reconstitution concentration, drawing up a desired number of drug or medicine units using the selected syringe, and administering a desired number of units according to the unit markings on the selected syringe. Such a syringe includes a barrel, a plunger assembly that has a plunger handle and a piston, a needle, and a needle cap. The syringe includes a visual indicia, representing a first drug concentration contained in the barrel, that is distinguishable from a corresponding visual indicia, on a second syringe, representing a second drug concentration.
Flexible coupler system and methods of operation
One embodiment of the present invention relates to a releasable flexible coupling system comprising a base, a coupling member, and a sewn member. The coupling member is fixably coupled to the base across the widthwise dimension on opposite sides of the lengthwise dimension forming a recess between the base and the coupling member. The sewn member comprises a strap, a folded region, and a primary stitch. The strap includes a body and a lengthwise end. The folded region is disposed on the lengthwise end of the strap and includes a portion that overlaps the body. The primary stitch extends through both the folded region and the body of the strap. An optional stiffener may be disposed between the lengthwise end of the strap and the folded region. The primary stitch will also extend through the stiffener if present.
Lanyard with double fastener
The lanyard described herein includes a double fastener for securely supporting an accessory, such as a watch face, phone or other item on a lanyard. The lanyard is preferably made from a traditional length of material that is intended to be worn around the neck of a wearer to provide access to an item held on an end of the lanyard near the chest of the wearer. The double fastener includes a latch strip connected to a base portion of the lanyard at one end with the other end looped back over and connected to the base portion by a hook-and-loop connection. The latch is subsequently secured by a locking mechanism which overlaps the latch and locks it in the fastened orientation. Accordingly, the double fastener not only supports the accessory with a latch but also ensures the latch does not inadvertently come undone by way of the lock.
Multi-position strap anchor
This disclosure describes a multi-position strap anchor that is movable between a first position and a second position. In the first position, the strap anchor may be less accessible to attach to a strap, and in the second position, the strap anchor may be more accessible to attach to a strap.

Load restraining apparatus and method
A load (22, 26, 27, 28, 29) is restrained against movement by passing a tape or chain (21, 31, 39) around the load (22, 26, 27, 28, 29) and passing the tape or chain (21, 31, 39) through a slot (17, 44) in a plate or the like (14, 41).
