20190111555 · 2019-04-18 ·

A chuck assembly for a rotary power tool includes a chuck body rotatable about a central axis. The chuck body has a plurality of slots, each oriented at an oblique angle relative to the central axis. The chuck assembly also includes a plurality of jaws, each movable along a respective one of the slots. The chuck assembly also includes a collar coupled to the plurality of jaws. The collar is selectively engageable with the chuck body such that, when engaged, the plurality of jaws are movable along the plurality of slots in response to rotation of the collar.

Torque-transmitting, locking instrument holder and method for operating the instrument holder

A torque-transmitting, locking instrument holder, includes a hollow body having a proximal end for receiving an instrument, a distal end for protrusion of the instrument, and a handle to be gripped by an operator. A device is provided for locking the handle to and unlocking the handle from the instrument at least partly disposed within the hollow body. A method for operating the instrument holder includes providing a hollow body having a proximal end for receiving an instrument, a distal end for protrusion of the instrument, and a handle to be gripped by an operator. The instrument is placed at least partly within the hollow body and the handle is locked to and unlocked from the instrument.

This invention relates to a maintaining device for mechanical pieces, comprising a slider-holder formed by a body and a head with a central bore in which a part of the piece to be maintained is placed, the piece to be maintained exceeding the head, the head comprising a conical area, the maintaining device having at least two sliders and an actuation element for the sliders, wherein the head comprises at least two lateral bores, one leading into the conical area and the other to the central bore, the sliders are placed in the lateral bores, the sliders being adjustable in the lateral bores, the sliders exceeding the conical area of the head, the actuation element of the sliders being arranged to move the sliders in the corresponding lateral bores along an axis perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the central bore.

Indexing chuck

The invention relates to an indexing chuck comprising a chuck body having an opening; a pivoting ring disposed in the opening, the pivoting ring having at least three clamping jaws that can be advanced radially, perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the chuck body; an advancing device which is disposed in the pivoting ring and by means of which the clamping jaws can be moved synchronously; and two pivot pins, supported in the chuck body and forming a pivot axis, wherein the advancing device comprises a synchronizing ring which is movable relative to the pivoting ring, a driving surface extending at an angle to the longitudinal axis of the chuck body where it contacts a clamping jaw, and a contact surface on the respective clamping jaw which interacts with the driving surface of the synchronizing ring such that the clamping jaws are moved radially.

A coupling device of jigs includes a foundation, a tube, a plurality of balls, and a piston base. The foundation has a chamber, in which a part of the tube is inserted. The tube has a plurality of through holes for housing the balls. The piston base is received in the chamber, and fitted to the tube. An inner surface of the piston base has a circular groove and an abutment surface. The piston base can be moved along an axial direction of the tube between a first position and a second position. When at the first position, a part of each ball is inside the circular groove; when at the second position, an area where the abutment surface abuts against each ball is not merely a single point. Whereby, the force applied on the abutment surface is dispersed, and therefore the processing accuracy of workpieces is ensured.

Chuck for a wire driver

A chuck (10) includes a jaw guide (64), interleaving jaws (66), and an inclined engagement surface (84). The jaw guide defines a longitudinal axis (24) and includes jaw channels (65) circumferentially distributed about the axis. The jaws are slidably disposed in the jaw channels Each jaw has a clamping surface (88) facing the axis and a driving surface (90) substantially opposite the clamping surface and a protrusion (92) on a first lateral side and a cavity (96) on a second lateral side. The protrusion of each jaw is disposed at least in part in the cavity of an adjacent jaw. The engagement surface is on one of an inner surface of the jaw guide and an engagement sleeve (80), and is substantially centered about the axis and substantially parallel to the driving surface. Displacement of the jaws relative to the engagement surface in a clamping direction displaces the clamping surfaces toward the axis.
