Coupling device
A device (1) for controlling operation of a chuck (2), the device (1) comprising a chuck (2) for centering a workpiece (3) to be machined; at least one electric motor (6) connected to at least one moveable clamping jaw (4), the at least one movable clamping jaw (4) being configured to be selectively moved by the at least one electric motor (6); a first inductive transmission device; a second inductive transmission device (8) disposed in alignment with the first inductive transmission device (7) such that measurement signals and/or electric power are inductively transmitted between the first transmission device (7) and the second transmission device (8); and an external control device (11) by means of which command and monitoring data required for the operation of the at least one clamping jaw (4), and for the operation and locking of the electric motors (6) can be entered and/or read.
Hydraulic Chuck Device
A hydraulic chuck device includes a cylinder portion operated by pressure oil, a chuck opened and closed by operation of the cylinder portion, a pressure oil supply controlling pressure of pressure oil supplied to the cylinder portion, and a chuck controller controlling the pressure oil supply. When controlling the pressure oil supply to cause a jaw portion to perform a clamping operation, during movement of the jaw portion from an unclamping position to a preliminary position situated before a clamping position, the chuck controller supplies pressure oil set at a first pressure into a cylinder chamber for clamping to move the jaw portion quickly, and during movement of the jaw portion from the preliminary position to the clamping positon, the chuck controller supplies pressure oil set at a second pressure lower than the first pressure into the cylinder chamber for clamping to move the jaw portion slowly.
Load measuring arrangement for a collet assembly
A load measuring arrangement for a collet assembly is provided. The load measuring arrangement includes a housing having a pocket which includes a first portion and a second portion. The load measuring arrangement further includes a first clamp member having a first groove and a second clamp member having a second groove. The first clamp member and the second clamp member are disposed in the first portion such that the first groove and the second groove together forms a receiving portion. A load measurement device is disposed next to the second clamp member in the second portion such that a load-responsive portion of the load measurement device is configured to be in contact with the second clamp member. The second clamp member is pushed outwards against the load-responsive portion when the receiving portion receives the collet assembly.
ELECTRONIC SPINDLE LOCK FOR A POWER TOOL
Electronic spindle lock for a power tool. One embodiment provides a power tool including a housing, a bit receiving portion provided on the housing for receiving a power tool bit, a motor within the housing configured to rotate the bit receiving portion, and a controller coupled to the motor. The controller is configured to enter an electronic spindle lock mode, and detect rotation of the bit receiving portion in a first direction. The controller is also configured to control motor to rotate in a second direction in response to detecting rotation of the bit receiving portion in the first direction.
Machine tool provided with spindle having measurement function
A machine tool includes: a hollow spindle including a hollow portion along an axial direction; a plurality of chuck claws openably mounted at a distal end portion of the hollow spindle, and configured to hold a workpiece; an operation rod inserted into the hollow portion of the hollow spindle in a movable manner, and configured to close the plurality of chuck claws with movement of the operation rod toward one side in the axial direction and open the plurality of chuck claws with movement of the operation rod toward the other side in the axial direction; and a measuring apparatus configured to measure an opening dimension of the plurality of chuck claws based on a movement amount of the operation rod.
Workpiece holding device and loading apparatus that uses the workpiece holding device
A workpiece holding device includes: a chuck including a chuck body, and a plurality of chuck claws openably supported on the chuck body and configured to hold a workpiece; an operation rod configured to drive the plurality of chuck claws for opening and closing with movement of the operation rod; and a measuring apparatus configured to measure an opening dimension of the plurality of chuck claws based on a movement amount of the operation rod.
Spindle nose with measuring function
A spindle nose for a machine tool spindle. The spindle nose has a longitudinal axis and a receiving end at which a conical receiving area opens. The receiving area tapers conically away from the receiving end in the direction of the longitudinal axis for receiving a tool shaft cone. A circumferential wall surrounds the receiving area and forms a circumferential contact edge. The contact edge has flat contact surfaces on which contact surfaces of the tool shaft cone rest when the tool is clamped in the tool spindle. The spindle nose defines blind receiving bores leading perpendicularly to the flat contact surfaces and which end below the flat contact surfaces. The contact edge is divided into at least four segments with the same angle. At least one receiving bore is formed in each of the segments. A sensor is arranged in each receiving bore.
Lightweight intelligent top-tooling apparatus
A lightweight intelligent top-tooling device integrates with an instrument. The instrument can be a sensing device. The instrument is placed inside a part of the lightweight intelligent top-tooling device during manufacturing process. The lightweight intelligent top-tooling device includes a locator and three top-jaws. The locator is engaged to a chuck of a metal cutting tool when assembled. The top-jaws attached to the locator are adapted to grip a workpiece. The lightweight intelligent top-tooling device is manufactured by a 3D printer. A 3D model of a part of the lightweight intelligent top-tooling device is first created. The 3D model is sliced into layers. The 3D printer prints out the layers of the lightweight intelligent top-tooling device. Media journals are created and the sensing device is placed during the printing process. The lightweight intelligent top-tooling device is printed with composite materials. One type of composite material is CFRP.
