Propeller
A propeller having a central post to which one or more blades are connected. The blades are disposed and configured to pull air in from the propeller's sides toward the propeller's axis of rotation to create pressure in an area in the vicinity of the center of the propeller's rotating axis for generating thrust.
GAS TURBINE ENGINE COMPONENT
Described is a gas turbine engine component (100), comprising a shell having an internal cavity for receiving a multi-part insert; a multi-part insert located within the cavity, wherein the multi-part insert comprises multiple separate parts assembled in an abutting relation with one another within the cavity to provide the multi-part insert; wherein the assembled insert includes at least one retention part, the retention part engaging with a wall of the cavity and at least one other insert part so as to retain the assembled insert within the cavity.
Turbomachine rotor groove
An example turbomachine rotor provides a groove that is annular and is configured to receive a root of an airfoil, the groove having a radial cross-sectional area. A ratio of the radial cross-sectional area of the groove to a radial cross-sectional area of the root received within the annular groove is from 2 to 5.
Modular rotor craft rotor hub system
A rotor arm assembly for use in a rotor craft rotor hub system includes a pitch shaft and a plurality of discrete bearings coupled to the pitch shaft. The plurality of bearings are elastomeric bearings configured to facilitate movement of the rotor arm assembly about a plurality of degrees of freedom. A respective one of the plurality of bearings is configured to accommodate a single degree of freedom.
Thin fan and manufacturing method thereof
A thin fan and a manufacturing method thereof are provided. The thin fan has a fan frame, a sleeve, a bearing, an impeller, a magnetic element and at least one coil. The fan frame includes a base and a cover connected to the base. The fan frame has an inlet and an outlet. The sleeve is disposed on the base, and the bearing is disposed within the sleeve. The impeller and the magnetic element are disposed on the fan frame and a metal housing, respectively. The coil is disposed opposite the magnetic element. The base has at least one plastic portion and at least one metal portion. The metal portion has at least one non-magnetic metal, and the plastic portion is integrated with the non-magnetic metal by injection molding.

The blades are disposed and configured to pull air in from the propeller's sides toward the propeller's axis of rotation to create pressure in an area in the vicinity of the center of the propeller's rotating axis for generating thrust.
Flexbeam to rotor blade interface
A spar for a rotor blade assembly is provided including a generally hollow tubular body. A spacer protrudes from at least one surface of the body along a length of the body. A hole extends through the body and the spacer. The hole is configured to align with a through hole in an adjacent flexbeam assembly. The spacer is configured to contact a surface of the adjacent flexbeam assembly to create a match fit between the body and the flexbeam assembly.
PROPELLER
A propeller having a means for creating fluid flow in a non-axial direction and redirecting it in an axial direction.
PROPELLER
A propeller having a plurality of blades extending radially outward from a hub, the blades forming a loop. Each loop having an intake portion, an exhaust portion and a tip portion extending radially outward from the hub and a gap between the intake root and the exhaust root. The tip portion of each of the blades is 30%-75% of the blade, the tip portion beginning at a first deviation from zero of the roll value and extending to 90 degrees, wherein roll value is zero in a plane parallel to the hub axis, and wherein the blades have a vertical angle between −45 degrees and 45 degrees throughout.
