Dual series pitch link bearing
According to one embodiment, a bearing is situated between a pitch link and a swashplate or a hub. The bearing comprises an outer housing having a first opening therethrough, an intermediate housing adjacent the housing inside the first opening and having a second opening therethrough, and an inner housing adjacent the intermediate housing inside the second opening and having a third opening therethrough. The inner housing comprising a first inner surface and a second inner surface defining the third opening. A first member is adjacent the first inner surface inside the third opening having a fourth opening therethrough. A second member is adjacent the second inner surface inside the third opening having a fifth opening therethrough coaxial with the fourth opening.
Method of forging outer joint member of constant velocity universal joint
A method is used to forge an outer joint member of a constant velocity universal joint. Track grooves of the outer and inner joint members each have an arc-shaped ball raceway center line having a curvature center that is not offset in an axial direction with respect to a joint center. The forging method includes performing ironing by press-fitting a cylindrical portion of one end of a shaft portion of a pre-processing material of the outer joint member including the shaft portion and the cylindrical portion into a die hole of a die while a punch set that is radially expandable and contractable is fitted to an inner peripheral surface of the cylindrical portion. The punch set includes punches and a punch base to guide the punches to enable advancing and retreating. Each of the punches has a pair of forming surfaces for forming the adjacent track grooves.
Machining ball tracks and guide webs of an inner joint part
Machining ball tracks and guiding webs of an inner part for a constant velocity joint in a clamping arrangement includes mechanical machining of at least one first ball track in a first rotational position; rotating the articulated inner part into a second rotational position for machining at least one further ball track; wherein at least one guiding web is mechanically machined during the rotating of the inner joint part from the first rotational position into the second rotational position. A corresponding device is used for machining ball tracks and guiding webs of an inner joint part.
High performance air journal bearing
An air journal bearing for a rotatable shaft of a turbomachine includes a journal sleeve having an inner cylindrical surface and a central axis defining longitudinal and radial directions, a top foil disposed radially inboard of the journal sleeve and configured to receive the rotatable shaft, and a bump foil disposed between the top foil and the journal sleeve and configured to bias at least a portion of the top foil against an outer surface of the rotatable shaft. At least one of the bump foil and a radially extending segment of the top foil is formed contiguous with the inner cylindrical surface. The journal sleeve, the top foil and the bump foil may be formed as a single piece made of selectively sintered ceramic-metal powder.

Humeral implant having a floating bearing
An implant includes a fixed bearing, a floating bearing, and a coupling member. The fixed bearing defines a generally first spherical articulating surface and a stop. The floating bearing includes a second spherical articulating surface and a planar articulating bearing surface. The coupling member defines a bearing surface that translates relative to the planar articulating bearing surface.
