Method and apparatus for display screen shield replacement
A method and apparatus for replacement of damages display shield (typically glass) covering a display screen on a device, typically a mobile phone. Mobile phones have an electronic display protected by a glass shield. Between the glass and the display is often a plastic polarizing or other intermediary sheet. Removal of a damage glass can be accomplished by cutting thru the polarizer with a moving wire or blade. This separates the glass from the sensitive display and allows replacement of the glass without damaging the more expensive display.

Single-pass, single-radial layer, circumferential-progression fill-welding system, apparatus and method for refurbishing railway and other transit rails
A method and related system and apparatus for refurbishing worn rail transit rails to a desired refurbished rail surface profile substantially similar to the surface profile of a newly-manufactured rail, comprising: depositing a first line of fill material along a lower-inside section to be refurbished; in N1 successive iterations thereafter, progressing circumferentially from the lower-inside section to be refurbished to an upper-outside section to be refurbished, depositing an n+1.sup.th line of fill material adjacent an n.sup.th line of fill material wherein the n.sup.th line of fill material substantially provides a flow barrier against the n+1.sup.th line of fill material flowing past the n.sup.th line of fill material.

Hammer mill disc refurbishment process
A method and apparatus for a hammer mill's worn discs. The disc can be refurbished by removing a peripheral portion of the disc and placing a ring on the peripheral rim left on the disc. The ring preferably has a tapered, radially inwardly facing surface that abuts the peripheral rim of the disc to form annular gaps on both sides of the disc/ring junction. Molten metal, such as during a welding process, is placed in the annular gaps to form annular beads that mount the ring to the disc effectively as if the ring, beads and disc were one integral piece. The disc/ring combination is preferably heat-treated to metallurgically improve the disc in order to prepare the disc's peripheral edge, which is made up of the ring, for impacts during use.
Single-Pass, Single-Radial Layer, Circumferential-Progression Fill-Welding System, Apparatus and Method for Refurbishing Railway and other Transit Rails

Method for repairing a receiving hook for guide vanes
Disclosed is a method for repairing a receiving hook for guide vanes, wherein the receiving hook is arranged in a housing of a turbomachine. The method comprises removing first material in a region of the receiving hook, which region extends over the circumference of the housing and thereafter applying second material in or on a region which extends over the circumference of the housing. The application of second material is performed using localized heat.
Repair article of a gas turbine engine
A repaired article includes a body extending between a first side and a second side. The body has a repair section with an associated thickness between the first side and the second side. The repair section includes regions of plastic deformation distributed through the thickness. A gas turbine engine including the body is also disclosed.
