JIG APPARATUS FOR ASSEMBLING TRUNK LID
A jig apparatus is used for assembling a trunk lid including an upper panel, an extension panel, and a lower panel. The jig apparatus may include: a jig frame; a first activation jig unit configured to align and fix the upper panel and the extension panel and installed at the jig frame in front and rear directions to be tilting-rotatable; and a second activation jig unit aligning and fixing the lower panel and installed at the jig frame to be linearly movable in the front and rear directions with respect to the first activation jig unit.
AUTOMATED END FITTING INSTALLATION SYSTEM AND METHOD
Sucker rods include end fittings having an outer wedge portion proximate to an open end, an inner wedge portion proximate to a closed end, and an intermediate wedge portion between the outer and inner wedges. Each wedge includes a leading edge, a trailing edge, and an angle between the leading and trailing edges. The triangular configuration, length of the leading edge, the length of the trailing edge, and size of the angle in each wedge portion cause distribution of force, such that compressive forces distributed to the rod proximate the closed end exceed compressive forces distributed to the rod proximate the open end. An automated installation procedure installs the end fitting through the use of multiple chucks, positioned by servo motors along a fitting table.
Method of producing vehicle body assembly
A vehicle body assembling apparatus includes a lower jig, an upper jig movable by an arm of a robot, and a joining device. The joining device performs joining operations for lower component parts (e.g., a temporary assembly of a rear floor frame) transported by the upper jig and positioned by the lower jig, upper component parts (e.g., a temporary assembly of a rear floor panel) held by the upper jig, and a temporary assembly of a vertical assembly (e.g., rear floor component) formed by overlapping the upper assembly with the lower assembly, above the lower jig at different timings.
Surgical Cutting Instrument With Near-Perimeter Interlocking Coupling Arrangement
A blade coupling mechanism for a hand-held surgical cutting instrument includes a first coupling member including a first blade-contacting surface and a first outer perimeter sidewall adjacent the first blade contacting surface. It also includes a second coupling member including a second blade-contacting surface facing the first blade-contacting surface of the first coupling member. The second coupling member includes a second outer perimeter sidewall adjacent the second blade contacting surface. The second blade-contacting surface and the second outer perimeter sidewall meet to define an outer edge. The second coupling member including a bore through the second blade contacting surface. The bore and the second blade contacting surface meeting to define an inner edge. Blade-engaging protrusions project from at least one of the first and second blade-contacting surfaces. The protrusions are spaced closer to the outer edge than the inner edge.

Twist lock tool system
A tool system including a liner having a body and a plurality of coupling members extending from the body, the body includes a first aperture through which at least part of a tool extends and is configured for coupling to a tool fixture, and a housing having an second aperture through which the at least part of the tool extends, a first end of the housing having grooves configured to mate with the plurality of coupling members to couple the tool within the grooves and to the tool fixture.
Monolithic manifold mask and substrate concepts
Component-locating templates or masks for use with positioning fluid-flow components on monolithic ceramic substrates are provided, as well as techniques for the manufacture of such templates.
Method for assembling a multi-element apparatus using a reconfigurable assembly apparatus
Systems and methods for assembling different multi-element items with different specifications using a reconfigurable apparatus are provided. One embodiment includes a base plate, a back plate coupled to the base plate in a predetermined angle relationship. The exemplary back plate comprises a plurality of alignment pins adapted to engage with alignment locations of multiple element assembly items. The exemplary base plate and alignment mounting structures couple to end cap parts disposed on opposing ends of the multiple element assembly items holding the items together. A clamping mechanism maintains/releases pressure on the multiple element assembly items against the back plate. The back plate holds alignment pins in a first back plate location in a first orientation for one type of multiple element assembly items and hold the alignment pins in a second location when the back plate is in a second orientation for a different type of multiple element assembly items.
Alignment tool for a manway cover
An alignment tool for use in aligning a manway cover with a manway body/flange includes an body/flange alignment tool plate having a plate opening, a tool beam support extending transversely from the body/flange alignment tool plate, a cover attachment plate having at least one cover plate opening sized and positioned to align with a corresponding manway cover opening in the manway cover, and a height adjuster extending between and connecting the tool beam support to the cover attachment plate where the cover attachment plate is vertically translated by the threaded height adjuster.
