Razor handle with movable members
A handle for a shaving razor in which the handle comprises a frame and a movable member assembly operably coupled to the frame such that the frame is disposed between the movable member assembly and where the movable member assembly upper and lower portions are configured to move both above and below the frame. The movement can be linear or rotational. The movable member assembly comprises one or more springs.
Floorboards with decorative grooves
Floorboards which have a core and a surface layer and are provided with decorative joint edges which are formed by removing the surface layer. A method for making a floorboard, or a floor element that is to be divided into at least two floorboards, the method including making a core from a sheet shaped material, from which a part of a locking system for vertical locking of the floorboards is to be formed, impregnating and/or staining the core surface with a substance at least in portions which in the completed floorboard will constitute a joint edge of the completed floorboard, and arranging an surface layer on the core surface.
ADJUSTABLE FLOW GLAUCOMA SHUNTS HAVING NON-LINEARLY ARRANGED FLOW CONTROL ELEMENTS, AND ASSOCIATED SYSTEMS AND METHODS
In particular, some embodiments provide shunts having a plurality of individually actuatable flow control elements that can control the flow of fluid through associated ports and/or flow lumens. For example, each individually actuatable flow control element can be actuated to modify a flow of a corresponding port and/or flow lumen. The individually actuatable flow control elements may be actuated along a given actuation axis. A flow control assembly may include a plurality of flow control elements arranged about a collection region. Accordingly, the shunts described herein can be manipulated into a variety of configurations that provide different drainage rates based on a degree to which the ports and/or flow lumens are blocked or unblocked, therefore providing a titratable glaucoma therapy for draining aqueous from the anterior chamber of the eye.
Valve Assembly for Crimp Profile
A method of assembling a prosthetic heart valve includes providing a collapsible and expandable stent having an annulus section and an aortic section. The annulus section has a first diameter in a relaxed condition and a second diameter less than the first diameter in a collapsed condition. A constraint is applied to the stent to constrain the annulus section to a predetermined diameter between the first and second diameters. Applying a cuff and/or a plurality of leaflets to the stent in the constrained condition enables less material to be used. The resultant prosthetic valve is therefore able to be collapsed to a smaller diameter for introduction into a patient.

SCREW MECHANISM PART OF A SCREW MECHANISM AND METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION THEREOF
A screw mechanism part (1) of a screw mechanism, which screw mechanism part is formed by a lead screw or a threaded nut (15) of the screw mechanism, has a machine part (3), which is mounted in a rotationally fixed manner on the screw mechanism part (1), for transmitting a torque. The machine part (3) and the screw mechanism part (1) have an axial overlap region (a) in which the pressing section (4) formed on the inner circumference of the machine part (3) is pressed onto external teeth or knurling (5) of the screw mechanism part (1). Inside the overlap region (a) there is formed a circumferential groove (6) which is situated axially adjacent to the external teeth or knurling (5). Material of the machine part (3) which is displaced during the pressing on is pushed into the circumferential groove (6).
Composite honeycomb structure
Adjoining edges of adjacent honeycomb core panel sections are mechanically interlocked. In one embodiment, the method includes forming a first edge along a first cellular core panel section. The first edge includes a first plurality of edge cell walls along the first edge. The method further includes forming a second edge along a second cellular core panel section, wherein the second edge includes a second plurality of edge cell walls along the second edge. The first edge is positioned proximate to the second edge. At least a portion of at least one of the first plurality of edge cell walls is mechanically interlocked with at least a portion of at least one of the second plurality of edge cell walls to form a joint therebetween. A composite structure may be at least partially produced by such a method.
HIGH SECURITY FASTENER WITH INTERNAL SHROUD BUCKLED RETAINER
An improved fastener comprising a fastener body orientated about a central axis and having a tool-engaging portion, a threaded fastening portion and a shroud-receiving portion having an inwardly facing annular groove orientated transverse to the central axis; a shroud concentrically mounted on the shroud-receiving portion to rotate relative to the fastener body under an applied external torque and having an axially-buckled radially-extending annular protrusion extending outwardly transverse to the central axis and disposed in the inwardly facing annular groove of the shroud-receiving portion of the body; the axially-buckled radially-extending annular protrusion of the shroud and the annular groove of the shroud-receiving portion of the body forming a shroud-retaining element restraining the shroud from movement in at least a first axial direction along the central axis.
Composite metal sheet
The invention provides a composite metal sheet produced by joining two metal sheets together, comprising: a projection formed by cutting the two metal sheets along a cutting line and pressing an area surrounded by the cutting line and a reference line in the two metal sheets, with the two metal sheets overlapping each other, with the reference line remaining uncut, with the cutting line extending from and communicating with both terminals of the reference line while forming a predetermined shape together with the reference line, and with the projection formed at one portion of the area in response to pressure applied to the area; hole generated by forming the projection in the two metal sheets; and a joint disposed between an outer peripheral cutting face of the projection and an inner peripheral cutting face of the hole.
Expanding die for clinching and riveting operations
A die for use with a cold-formed joint tool such as a clinching tool or clinch punch or self-piercing rivet punch. A split die made of a plurality of partial cup-shaped segments is disposed within a collar that defines a recess. The recess includes a forming area in which the cold-formed joint is formed and a relieved area in which the partial cup-shaped segments are shifted radially outwardly after forming to permit removal of the cold-formed joint tool from the cold-formed joint.
