Method for installing a pulling head assembly
A workstation and method for the installation of a pulling head assembly onto one or more conductors of a cabling system are provided. The workstation incorporates one or more of: a conductor clamp that holds the conductors of the cabling system in place during the installation of the pulling head assembly; a cutting guide having indicia marks that indicate the lengths to which to cut the conductors in order to achieve a staggered pattern of pulling eyes attached to the conductors in the pulling head assembly; a stripping tool that is used to remove a portion of the insulation from the terminal end of each conductor so that the end of the conductor may be inserted into the pulling eye; and a crimping tool that is used to crimp the pulling eyes onto the terminal ends of each of the conductors.

Automatic assembling system
An automatic assembling system, comprising: a robot performing an operation of inserting a first member into a second member; a force sensor for detecting an insertion force exerted on the first member by the robot; and a controller for controlling the insertion force with a closed-loop feedback control according to a difference between the insertion force detected by the force sensor and a predetermined insertion force, so that the insertion force is less than the predetermined insertion force to protect the first member and/or the second member from damage due to an overlarge insertion force. The present invention also is directed to a method for automatically assembling a product.

Apparatus and method for production of duct members
An apparatus for forming and sealing an adjustable duct member for use in an air handling system. At least one work station accommodates a tapered work piece. A repositionable die is positioned relative to the work piece, and a cutting and forming assembly cooperates with the repositionable die to cut the work piece and form a coupling bead to reconnect the members together. A sealing assembly cooperates with the first repositioning die to seal the coupling bead in the first and second members. The work station includes an insertion channel having predetermined dimensions to accommodate at least a portion of the work piece. A clamping assembly is associated with the insertion channel to securely hold the tapered work piece at the predetermined position during the cutting and forming and sealing operations.

Method of machining surfaces of rotor disc and grinding machine therefor
A grinding machine for finishing turned surfaces of a rotor disc for a gas turbine engine, including a retaining mechanism for retaining the rotor disc and rotatable about a rotational axis corresponding to a central axis of the rotor disc, a spindle engaged to a grinding wheel and rotatable about a rotational axis corresponding to a central axis of the grinding wheel, the grinding wheel having an outer super abrasive surface, a translating mechanism engaged to at least one of the retaining mechanism and the spindle and actuable to provide a relative translational motion between the retaining mechanism and the spindle along three perpendicular axes, and a pivoting mechanism engaged to one of the retaining mechanism and the spindle and actuable to provide a pivoting motion of the rotational axis of one of the retaining mechanism and the spindle around a pivot axis perpendicular thereto.
Methods for stud bump formation
An apparatus includes a spool configured to supply a wire, a cutting device configured to form a notch in the wire, and a capillary configured to bond the wire and to form a stud bump. The apparatus is further configured to pull the wire to break at the notch, with a tail region attached to the stud bump.
Mask assembly fabrication apparatus and mask assembly fabrication method using the same
A mask assembly fabrication apparatus includes a first vibration proof apparatus formed on a base surface, a first surface plate formed on the first vibration proof apparatus, stages formed on the first surface plate, a mask frame placed on the stages, a second vibration proof apparatus formed on the base surface to be separate from the first vibration proof apparatus, a second surface plate formed on the second vibration proof apparatus to be separate from the first surface plate, and a driving unit formed on the second surface plate and configured to move a mask.
