A controllable robotic arm suspends from the rectangular frame section, and a work table fixedly couples to the power distribution and position reference face. A plurality of conveyor tables are fixedly coupled to the work table including a first conveyor table through the first face and a second conveyor table through the second face. A vision system monitors the work table and each of the conveyor tables. A programmable controller monitors signal inputs from the vision system to identify and determine orientation of the component on the first conveyor table and control the robotic arm to execute an assembly task.

An adjustment mechanism moves the frame and the plurality of extensions axially towards the wheel hub assembly to contact the wheel hub assembly and/or the bearing to apply a preload to the bearing within the wheel hub assembly.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A STATOR
A method and an apparatus are provided for manufacturing a stator with a plurality of hairpin conductors. For inserting the hairpin conductors (15, 15) into the slots (11) of a stator core (12) a stator core template (22) is provided. Hairpin conductors (15) are axially inserted into slots (21) of the stator core template (22) such that the hairpin conductor (15) is arranged at a first position (P1) within said slot (21). The hairpin conductor (15) is then moved within said slot (21) to a different position (P2). A complete nest (20) of hairpin conductors (15) formed within the stator core template (22) is then transferred to the stator core (12).

Method for manufacturing a stator
A method and an apparatus are provided for manufacturing a stator with a plurality of hairpin conductors. For inserting the hairpin conductors (15, 15) into the slots (11) of a stator core (12) a stator core template (22) is provided. Hairpin conductors (15) are axially inserted into slots (21) of the stator core template (22) such that the hairpin conductor (15) is arranged at a first position (P1) within said slot (21). The hairpin conductor (15) is then moved within said slot (21) to a different position (P2). A complete nest (20) of hairpin conductors (15) formed within the stator core template (22) is then transferred to the stator core (12).
Apparatus for preloading a bearing
A lock nut system includes a nut threadably engageable with a shaft and a keeper having a projection configured to fit within a slot of the shaft to engage the shaft. A retaining member is formed separate from the keeper and the nut. The retaining member is receivable within a slot of the nut to engage the nut. A portion of the retaining member engages the keeper by extending into a keeper cavity within the keeper. The nut is lockable onto the shaft when the projection of the keeper is fit within the slot and the keeper is abutted and supported by an inner shoulder of the nut and the retaining member engages the nut and the portion of the retaining member extends into the cavity within the keeper.
