Rotor assembly method and system employing central multi-tasking robotic system
A rotor assembly system for a manufacturing cell includes a central robotic system comprising a multi-axial central robot and a conveyor platform and one or more multi-axial auxiliary robotic systems secured at one or more locations within the cell. The conveyor platform is operable to move the central robot within the cell. The central robotic system and the one or more auxiliary robotic systems are configured to perform a plurality of rotor manufacturing processes on at least one rotor component in coordination with one another, and the central robotic system is configured to transfer the at least one rotor component between one or more rotor manufacturing processes of the plurality of rotor manufacturing processes.
Rotary screw changing delivery system
Techniques are disclosed for remotely switching screw color or screw type feeding into a door assembly machine with an auto-hinge applicator. An apparatus having a turntable is supported on bearings and a framework. Each side of the turntable includes a screw hopper accessible via a rotary index. The screw hoppers receive a user input to make a screw selection. Upon receiving a selection, one of the hoppers indexes into position, allowing the correct screw to feed to the hinge applicator. Screw feed-hoses from screwdrivers on the hinge applicator are arranged to connect to a manifold below the screw hoppers. Screws drop from the hoppers into a manifold, at which point the screws are blown with compressed air through the feed-hoses to the screwdrivers on the hinge applicator. Screws can be reloaded into the screw hoppers when rotated in alignment with the hinge side of the door assembly machine.
ROTOR ASSEMBLY METHOD AND SYSTEM EMPLOYING CENTRAL MULTI-TASKING ROBOTIC SYSTEM
A rotor assembly system includes a central robotic system, which itself includes a conveyor platform and a multi-axial central robot arranged on the conveyor platform. The multi-axial central robot is configured to perform a set of manufacturing processes from among a plurality of rotor manufacturing processes related to at least one rotor component. The conveyor platform is operable to move the multi-axial central robot within the manufacturing cell to transfer the at least one rotor component between one or more rotor manufacturing processes from among the plurality of rotor manufacturing processes.

Adding cutting stations to bending systems
A system for generating rules inserted into at least one pattern board including: a controller configured to generate at least one shape diagram, the controller also configured to determine number and measurement of crease rules to be generated based on the at least one shape diagram; a cutting station configured to receive and cut a first crease rule into the number and measurement of the crease rules; and a sorter configured to receive the crease rules from the cutting station and sort the crease rules according to the measurement of the crease rules, wherein the sorted crease rules are inserted into each of the at least one pattern board along with a cutting rule shaped by each of at least one bender.
Vehicular body assembly locking apparatus and method
A vehicle body positioning and locking devices for use in assembling a vehicle body positioned on a movable vehicle support positioned at a vehicle build station. The locking device includes a remote vehicle locking device for selectively securing and locking a vehicle body to a support pallet. The support pallet is accurately and precisely positioned at a build station through alignment and inserting engagement of locating pads in at least one four-way and at least one two way receiver mounted to a build station foundation. A compliant body clamp design is included to provide a desired clamping force between the pallet and a vehicle body across a range of motion of the body clamp to accommodate vehicle build variances.
Window unit assembly station and method
An insulated glass unit (IGU) assembly station can include an assembly table, a conveyor assembly, and a projection component. The assembly table can have a table surface configured to receive first and second transparent window components, the table surface being positioned at an incline relative to a vertical position. The conveyor assembly can be configured to translate the first and second transparent window components along a translation pathway from a first end of the table surface to a second end of the table surface, the translation pathway being substantially parallel to the table surface. The projection component can be adjacent to the assembly table and can be configured to engage the first transparent window component to translate at least a bottom portion of the first transparent window component between an initial position and a first assembly position offset from the translation pathway.
