11559416 · 2023-01-24 · ·

A crimper includes a first arm that includes a first crimper die that defines a first tapered channel. The crimper also includes a second arm coupled to the first arm at a pivot connection. The second arm includes a second crimper die that defines a second tapered channel. The pivot connection enables the first arm and the second arm to rotate about the pivot connection from an open state to a closed state. The first arm and second arm rotate at an angle relative to one another to allow loading of the expandable medical device into the first tapered channel or the second tapered channel and to allow positioning of the expandable medical device relative to a delivery device. When transitioning, the first tapered channel and the second tapered channel form a chamber that is configured to crimp the expandable medical device from the uncompressed state to the compressed state.

A liner fabrication tool includes a handle engaged to a first cam support and a second cam support where each of the cam supports has forward edge. An axle extends between the first cam support and the second cam support. A gripper is rotatably engaged to the axle between the first cam support and the second cam support. The gripper includes a first wall, a second wall, and a base extending between the first wall and the second wall, the base has an opening where the opening is positioned between and proximate to the forward edges. The opening receives a pin of a liner and insulation system where rotation of the handle in a forward direction applies leverage against the first cam support and the second cam support to bind the pin in the opening and compress the liner and insulation system immediately prior to welding.

Method and apparatus for removing a knockout

An apparatus for removing a knockout region from a saw blade includes an elongate body having a center axis. A distal end of the elongate body can include a head, having a concave region, wherein the concave region has a fulcrum section. A slot includes a first surface and a second surface opposite the second surface. The first surface and the second surface preferably are separated be a width greater than the thickness of the saw blade. The slot is positioned rearward of the concave region and is angled at a substantially acute angle relative to the center axis. The concave region is sized and shaped such that the fulcrum section contacts a first face of the saw blade and the slot is sized and shaped such that the first surface of the slot contacts a second face of the saw blade. Preferably, the fulcrum region engages the first region and the slot engages the second portion at the same time.

Tool system for mounting an elastic sleeve and method

A tool system for mounting an elastic sleeve includes a holdout tube supporting the elastic sleeve prior to and during mounting, the holdout tube having a longitudinal axis, an interface element movable along the longitudinal axis and transferring pressure onto the elastic sleeve to push the elastic sleeve off the holdout tube during mounting, and an actuation lever engaging the holdout tube at a fulcrum region of the actuation lever. The actuation lever has a pair of load arms partly encompassing the holdout tube. A load region is arranged at a peripheral end of each of the load arms. The actuation lever actuates the interface element by pressing the load regions of the actuation lever against the interface element.
