Methods and apparatus for using a look on a door lever handle are disclosed. The lock includes a base configured to mount the lock to a door having a lever handle and a lever handle guard pivotally attached to the base, the lever handle guard being pivotable between a locking position and a non-locking position. The lever handle guard is securable in the non-locking position. The lever handle guard includes first and second guard portions arranged to prevent rotation of the lever handle when the lever handle guard is in the locking position. When the lever handle guard is secured in the non-locking position, the first and second guard portions are arranged to permit rotation of the lever handle without contacting the first and second guard portions.

The present invention discloses a retainer mechanism that may be associated with a bin or a lid of the bin to maintain lid in a closed (latched) position in relation to the bin.

A system, apparatus, and method for latching objects includes an anchor and a strap. The apparatus includes an anchor for attachment to an object, the anchor having an insert void formed therein. The strap is stretchable and has an attachment on a first end and a hand grip on a second end. The strap also includes an insert between the first end and the second end, the insert fitting into the insert void of the anchor.

A cabinet lock includes a first knob mount and a separate second knob mount. The first knob mount is arranged to mate with a doorknob carried on a first cabinet door. In some embodiments, the locking device comprises first and second portions of the locking device configurable between an open and a closed configuration and a pressure-responsive locking member in fluid communication with an outlet port of the pressure vessel and arranged to automatically retain the first and second portions in the closed configuration when the pressure inside of the pressure vessel is above a predetermined threshold, wherein in the closed configuration the first and second portions restrict manipulation of the hatch and/or a locking mechanism of the hatch.
