Medical device adapter with wrist mechanism
A surgical device adapter for coupling an end effector to a surgical device includes: a proximal joint housing that is couplable to the surgical device; a middle joint housing pivotally coupled to the distal end of the proximal joint housing; and a distal joint housing pivotally coupled to the distal end of the middle joint housing. The middle joint housing is pivotable about a first pivot axis defined between the proximal joint housing and the middle joint housing. The distal joint housing is couplable to the end effector and pivotable about a second pivot axis defined between the middle joint housing and the distal joint housing, the second pivot axis being transverse to the first pivot axis.
UNIVERSAL JOINT WITH SIMPLIFIED STRUCTURE
A universal joint includes a first band and a second band which are separated by a slot, are cylindrical and coaxial with one another with respect to a common axis, and further includes a first torsion bar, whose ends are joined to the first band, and a second torsion bar whose ends are joined to the second band. Such a universal joint thus has a relatively simple structure.
UNIVERSAL JOINT WITH SIMPLIFIED STRUCTURE
A universal joint includes a first band and a second band which are separated by a slot, are cylindrical and coaxial with one another with respect to a common axis, a first stiffener whose ends are joined to the first band, and a second stiffener whose ends are joined to the second band. A stem extends between the first stiffener and the second stiffener. A crown is around the stem. Four torsion bars exist, of which two extend between the crown and the first band and two extend between the crown and the second band. Such a universal joint thus has a relatively simple structure.
Pet enclosure with dual axes swivel connector
A partition for an animal includes a wire panel having an edge rod, a dual axes swivel connector and a wire member is disclosed. The dual axes swivel connector is pivotally connected to the edge rod of the wire panel. The wire member is mountable to a first structure. The second groove of the dual axes swivel connected is receive the wire member for forming a hinge so that the wire panel may partition a first area from a second area.
Extendable/Retractable Support Column
An extendable and retractable column which is formed from at least three linked sections. The linked sections include a plurality of individual sections linked end to end. As the linked sections are extended, each of the individual sections engage adjacent individual sections to form a column. As the linked sections are retracted, each of the individual sections disengage from the adjacent individual sections and the column may be retracted for compact storage.
ARTICULATION JOINT WITH BENDING MEMBER
The present disclosure provides an articulation joint that can include a plurality of articulation links, wherein each articulation link can include an elongate body having a proximal end, a distal end, an outer surface, and a first lumen extending from the proximal end to the distal end. Each articulation link can further include a plurality of arms extending radially outward from the elongate body, wherein each arm includes an inner end attached to the outer surface of the elongate body and a second lumen extending from a proximal side of the arm to a distal side of the arm. The articulation joint can also include a bending member positioned within the first lumen of the elongate body and a control member positioned within a plurality of second lumens, wherein each of the plurality of second lumens includes a common longitudinal axis.

Methods of forming such an expandable/retractable column are also presented.
