A release device for the upper rail and the lower rail of a longitudinal seat adjustment system of a motor vehicle seat, the release device having a lever rotatably supported on the upper rail of the seat. An end of the lever interacts with the locking means and optionally releases the locking means. A handle is provided at the other end. If the handle is operated, the lever moves relative to the upper rail from a passive position to a release position and moves the locking means from a locking position to a releasing position. So the release device automatically moves into a passive position of the release device, a spring element is provided, which preloads the lever into the passive position of the lever. The spring element additionally supports the lever on the upper rail.

A clip for providing a sliding force towards a movable substrate, the clip including at least one strip, where the at least one strip comprises a first axial end and a second axial end and an arcuate shape between the first axial end and the second axial end; where the at least one strip is a metal strip including a sliding layer at an outbound side.

A mount for a shade structure, in particular a collapsible pavilion. The mount has a base and a cover. The base has a space formed therein configured to receive a ground support of a shade structure. The cover has a top surface and a bottom surface to be secured to the base. A groove is formed in the mount and is configured to pivotably receive a rib. The groove is disposed between opposed walls of the mount. A pin retention recess is disposed on each side of the opposed walls in one of the cover and the base. A plurality of projections are provided that each have a first end fixed to one of the cover and the base in which the pin retention recess is not formed and a second end disposed away from the fixed end. One of the projections is configured to enclose a portion of the retention recess when the cover and the base are secured together.

A locking pin assembly having a body including a wall defining an interior space and having at least one aperture therethrough for allowing fluid communication between the interior space and an exterior environment. A barrel defines a bore and has an outer wall with external threads. A pin travels longitudinally within the interior space of the body and the bore of the barrel. A spring actuated assembly maintains an end of the pin in an extended position relative to an end of the barrel when no force is applied to the pin and allows the pin to retract relative to the end of the barrel when a force is applied to the pin.

A portable adjustable stair railing includes a plurality of telescopically adjustable balusters having structural attachments at the bottom of each, such as, for example, adhesives, suction cups, or removable fasteners, such as bolts. The height adjustment for each baluster is set by spring-biased buttons and cooperating apertures located on the two sleeved portions of the baluster. The top balustrade receiving end of each of the balusters includes a collar-like receiver and a set screw to hold the balustrade in the desired position. This balustrade collar further includes a pitch or angle adjustment for allowing pitch lines, or runs, on various staircases.

A coupler for connecting two segments of a shaft comprises a first fitting and a second fitting, each of what is attachable to the end of a shaft segment. The first fitting has at least one spring loaded button. The first fitting is received within the cavity of the second fitting. A coupler button has a recess in the base for receiving a spring and there are planar button-guiding surfaces within the first fitting. The second fitting preferably has one or more exterior surface flats which align with the direction of button movement and which mate with one or more flats within of the second fitting cavity.

Cable coupling assemblies are described which can be readily engaged and separated from one another. The couplings are particularly useful for use in torque transmitting cables such as those used in drain cleaning applications.
