Head shaft assembly and related method
A head shaft assembly has a center tube, an end tube, a collector sprocket and a collar. The center tube has drive and driven ends. The center tube has a center tube diameter. The end tube has a key extending longitudinally along an outer surface and inner and outer ends. The key defines a key length and the end tube has an end tube diameter. The collector sprocket is mountable to the end tube and rotationally secured to the end tube by the key. The collar is hollow between a first end and a second end. The center tube diameter is substantially the same as the end tube diameter and the drive end is proximate to the inner end. The drive end and the inner end are positioned within the collar between the first end and the second end. The collar fixes the center tube to the end tube.

Apparatus and methods for rigging a torque tube assembly in an aircraft
A torque tube assembly includes a torque tube and a spline coupling coupled to an end of the torque tube. The spline coupling has an opening to receive a spline gear on a drive shaft of an aircraft high lift device. The torque tube assembly also includes a retainer coupled to the spline coupling. The retainer blocks at least a portion of the opening in the spline coupling to prevent the spline coupling from being moved off of the spline gear on the drive shaft.
Locking/ indexing pin
A locking pin assembly having a body including a wall defining an interior space and having at least one aperture therethrough for allowing fluid communication between the interior space and an exterior environment. A barrel defines a bore and has an outer wall with external threads. A pin travels longitudinally within the interior space of the body and the bore of the barrel. A spring actuated assembly maintains an end of the pin in an extended position relative to an end of the barrel when no force is applied to the pin and allows the pin to retract relative to the end of the barrel when a force is applied to the pin.
APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR RIGGING A TORQUE TUBE ASSEMBLY IN AN AIRCRAFT
Example apparatus and methods for rigging a torque tube assembly in an aircraft are described herein. An example torque tube assembly includes a torque tube and a spline coupling coupled to an end of the torque tube.
Locking Retainer for Slidable Supports
A locking retainer can include a strap that at least partly bounds an internal area and includes a locking arm with a locking pin that extends into the internal area and a release tab extending opposite the locking arm and away from the internal area. The strap can have a locking configuration in which, with a slidable support within the internal area, the locking pin extends into two locking apertures to lock the slidable support at a fixed length. The locking tab can be moved towards the internal area to move the strap into an unlocking configuration in which the locking pin is removed from the internal area to release the locking pin from the two locking apertures.
LOCKING/ INDEXING PIN

A barrel defines a bore and has an outer wall with external threads. A pin travels longitudinally within the interior space of the body and the bore of the barrel. A spring actuated assembly maintains an end of the pin in an extended position relative to an end of the barrel when no force is applied to the pin and allows the pin to retract relative to the end of the barrel when a force is applied to the pin.
Locking retainer for slidable supports
A locking retainer can be used with a slidable support that includes a two support member with respective sets of locking apertures, with the two support members slidably engaging each other to define a support profile. A strap can at least partly bound an internal area and can support a locking pin that extends into the internal area. The strap can have a locking configuration in which, with the slidable support disposed within the internal area, the locking pin extends into two of the locking apertures to lock the slidable support at a fixed length. A locking retainer can be installed by disposing the slidable support within the internal area, aligning two locking apertures of the slidable support, and applying lateral pressure to a side arm of the locking retainer to seat a locking pin in the aligned locking apertures.

Steering shaft assembly
An assembly provided with a steering shaft assembly includes a first member having a first member outer surface that extends between a first member first end and a first member second end along an axis. The steering shaft assembly also includes a second member having a second member inner surface that extends between a second member first end and a second member second end along the axis, the first member first end arranged to be received within the second member second end. The steering shaft assembly further includes roller element assembly disposed between the first member outer surface and the second member inner surface.
