SYSTEM, APPARATUS, AND METHOD FOR SECURING STRUCTURES
Systems, methods, and devices are disclosed for securing structures. One fastener includes a threaded body and a head. The head includes a rounded axial protrusion having a first radial diameter, and a noncircular radial portion for securing the fastener. The noncircular radial portion has a second radial diameter greater than the first radial diameter. The noncircular radial portion is positioned between the threaded body and the rounded axial protrusion.

Replacing an aperture with an annular bushing in a composite laminated composite component
An annular bushing includes an annular cylindrical portion with a flange that defines a fastener aperture along an axis. A multiple of spacers extend from an outer surface of the annular cylindrical portion and the flange. The multiple of spacers are operable to control a bond line thickness.
Cam positioning of machinery system
This invention uses disc shaped cams in enlarged hoes in machine feet to allow a machine to be moved and properly installed to the bedplate. Once the machine is in the proper location, the cams are locked into place with a set screw which prevents the cams from rotating and the machine from moving. The machine foot is then secured to the base by a washer and the manufacturer's specified anchor bolt is torqued to the proper value.
Furniture and other item assembly method and system
A hardware system for assembly to form an item, such as an item of furniture. The system includes a tension adjustment device, such as a turnbuckle, which may be threadably engaged with two rods, inserted into two rod inserts located on each of the turnbuckle's two opposite sides. The rods may pass through a series of alternating base material components and spacers therebewteen to form an item's body, the turnbuckle being located, for example, in or near the middle of the two series. The ends of the rods opposite the turnbuckle may be threaded into inserts fixed in an end piece of base material of their respective series. The turnbuckle may be twisted or otherwise adjusted to secure or compress the system. A final assembly may have one or more such series and may give the illusion of a solid bar of hardware being passed through the base material.
Mounting assembly for a face shield
A face shield, such as a visor, mounts to a protective helmet using a mounting assembly. The mounting assembly has a base, a spacer assembly, and a pair of posts. The base is disposed on the interior of the helmet. The posts are connected to the base and extend outwardly through holes that are formed in the side of the helmet. The spacer assembly slides over the posts when the posts are inserted through the corresponding holes in the helmet, and frictionally engages the outer surfaces of the first and second posts such that the helmet is disposed between the base and the spacer assembly. The posts threadingly receive corresponding fasteners that attach the face shield to the helmet.
Clamp head
A clamp head including an arched body having upper and lower faces, and opposing unequal length arms. The body further has a through aperture for a bolt or like threaded fastener extending between the upper and lower faces, the through aperture tapering outwardly through the body in the direction of the lower face. The arms comprise a reaction arm having at its distal end a curved reaction face and a clamping arm having at its distal end a curved clamping face. The curved reaction face has a first edge that is proximal to the reaction face and a second edge that is distal to the reaction face, wherein the radius of curvature of the reaction face increases in the direction of the second edge.
