The present invention relates to a brush cutting head for a brush cutter. The brush cutter head includes a cylindrical support body that has a first end, an opposed second end and an intermediate portion extending therebetween. The intermediate portion has a curved surface that defines the circular cross-section of the cylindrical support body. A plurality of collars is mounted to the cylindrical support body at spaced intervals along the intermediate portion. Each collar extends radially from the curved surface of the cylindrical support body. Additionally, each collar cooperates with an adjacent collar to define a mounting station between the adjacent collars. The brush cutter head further includes a plurality of cutting tooth assemblies carried on the outer surface of the cylindrical support body. Each cutting tooth assembly has a cutting tooth for placement within the mounting station and a mounting assembly engageable with the adjacent collars to secure the cutting tooth in the mounting station.

The upper surface has a first inclined surface extending along the first straight cutting edge, a second inclined surface extending along the second straight cutting edge, and a third inclined surface extending along the third straight cutting edge. An inclination angle of the second inclined surface with respect to the lower surface is larger than an inclination angle of each of the first inclined surface and the third inclined surface with respect to the lower surface.

The invention relates to a tool head for a rotary tool. The tool head extends along, and rotates about, a rotational axis in a rotational direction during operation. The tool head is designed for replaceable fastening on a carrier shank of the rotary tool and comprises on the back thereof a coupling surface comprising a first serration having a plurality of ribs running parallel to one another and grooves running parallel to one another. The first serration comprises at least two part-serrations oriented toward one another in the rotational direction at an angle. Each part-serration having a plurality of ribs and grooves running parallel, for centering the tool head relative to the carrier shank. The invention furthermore relates to a rotary tool having such a tool head.

The fastening member is displaceable with respect thereto between a mounting position adapted to allow the insert to be mounted onto the seat and a securing position adapted for securing the insert within the seat. The insert is formed with a securing cavity and when the insert is mounted onto the tool holder and is in the securing position, a portion of the support element and the fastening member is received within the cavity of the insert.

A cutting insert mountable in an insert pocket of a milling cutter and capable of effectively absorbing a radially outward force during high speed machining and high ramp machining. The cutting insert has a top surface, a bottom surface, peripheral surfaces extending between the top and bottom surfaces, a mounting hole extending through the top surface and the bottom surface, a protrusion portion protruding from the bottom surface, and a pair of lower inclined abutment surfaces formed at opposite edges of the bottom surface. The lower inclined abutment surfaces are inclined in opposite directions toward a pair of opposing peripheral surfaces, outwardly and upwardly relative to the protrusion portion. The protrusion portion extends across the mounting hole and has a lateral surface facing radially outwardly of the milling cutter. The lateral surface selectively contacts or does not contact the insert pocket depending on a revolution speed of the milling cutter.
