A novel mounting assembly used with an air spindle is described. The mounting assembly includes an insertable top portion for inserting into a mounting collar and to be rotatable therein, the insertable top portion formed with an upper disk shape with a first diameter and a lower disk shape with a second diameter and adjacent to the upper disk shape, an outer circumference of the upper disk shape having a groove formed therein, and the upper disk shape and the lower disk shape having a passage axially formed therethrough perpendicular to the groove. The mounting assembly further includes a sleeve disposed below the insertable top portion, the sleeve defining an opening with a sidewall which is perpendicular to the insertable top portion, the opening sized to hold a spindle, a port inside a wall of the sleeve defining the opening providing fluid communications with the passage of the insertable top portion.
Angle head holder
An angle head holder is installed on a spindle having a positioning block mounted on its outer surface with a constraining groove. The angle head holder includes a body base, a driving shaft, a holder assembly, and a positioning device. The driving shaft and the holder assembly are disposed in the body base. The positioning device has a fixing ring and an adjusting assembly. The fixing ring is sleeved on the body base and has a receiving slot. The adjusting assembly has a connecting block, a positioning pin, and at least one lever pin. The connecting block is mounted to the fixing ring and has a receiving groove. The positioning pin protrudes out of the receiving groove, is limited by the constraining groove, and has a retaining groove. The at least one lever pin is mounted in the receiving slot and the retaining groove.
Angle head holder
An angle head holder has a steering assembly and a holder assembly rotatably mounted in the steering assembly. The holder assembly has a cutter spindle, a threaded rod, multiple balls, and a collet. The cutter spindle has a central hole and a first annular groove radially formed in the central hole at a position near a rear end of the cutter spindle. The threaded rod has a second annular groove aligning with the first annular groove to form a ball groove between the threaded rod and the cutter spindle. The balls are arranged in the ball groove. The collet is inserted in the central hole of the cutter spindle from a front end of the cutter spindle and is connected to the threaded rod with threaded connection.

TOOL UNIT
A tool unit includes a rotary tool, a first holder which is connected to a first end portion of the rotary tool in an axial direction of the rotary tool, a second holder connected to a second end portion of the rotary tool in the axial direction of the rotary tool, and a third holder having a first support surface rotatably supports an outer circumferential surface of the first holder at a side of the first end portion of the rotary tool and a second support surface rotatably supports an outer circumferential surface of the second holder at a side of the second end portion of the rotary tool, the third holder being connected to the spindle housing so as not to be relatively rotatable to the spindle housing. According to this configuration, displacement of the rotary tool in the radial direction can be restricted effectively by the third unit.
Coupling system for use with a spindle apparatus of a machine tool
The present invention relates to a coupling system for use at a spindle apparatus of a machine tool, comprising an energy transmission unit with a transmitter coil unit for the contact-free transmission of electrical energy to a receiver coil unit of a tool interface unit with an electrical load and a tool interface portion for accommodation in a tool support of a work spindle of the spindle apparatus, and a coupling interface unit having an interface body element attachable to the spindle apparatus and a second coupling element which is configured to be coupled to a first coupling element of the energy transmission unit by means of a releasable connection.
Tool attachment, tool changer and corresponding method of use
A tool attachment (200) for a robotic manipulator (100), includes a housing (202), an input shaft (208) configured to be engaged by an end effector (105) of the robotic manipulator (100), an output shaft (210), and a tool (214) coupled to the output shaft (210). The housing (202) includes at least one slot or at least one projection for preventing relative rotational movement between the housing (202) and a housing of the robotic manipulator (100). Upon engagement of the end effector (105) of the robotic manipulator (100) with the input shaft (208), the tool attachment (200) is retained on the robotic manipulator (100), and rotational movement of the end effector (105) of the robotic manipulator (100) acts to rotate said input shaft (208) and drive said tool (214).
