The present invention provides a stretch sheet (1) for an absorbent article in which a plurality of elastic filaments (4) that are arranged so as to extend in one direction without intersecting one another are joined to extensible sheet materials (2 and 3) over their entire length in a substantially non-stretched state. Some or all of the plurality of elastic filaments (4) are constricted filaments (40) having at least one narrow portion (40k) in a cross section that is orthogonal to a longitudinal direction (Y). It is preferable that the cross section of each constricted filament (40) that is orthogonal to the longitudinal direction (Y) has a shape in which a plurality of circles are connected together in a partially overlapping state, and it is preferable that the center-to-center distance between adjacent circles is shorter than the sum of the radius of a first one of the circles and the radius of a second one of the circles, and longer than the shorter radius of the radius of the first circle and the radius of the second circle.

The present invention relates to synthetic fibers and artificial lawn comprising such a fibre. More particularly, the invention relates to grass-like monofilament type fibers having a curved cross section and an artificial grass lawn, especially an artificial grass sports field, comprising such a fibre. According to an aspect of the invention, a synthetic fibre is provided of the monofilament type for use in an artificial lawn, in particular an artificial sports lawn, which synthetic fibre has a curved cross section, wherein the synthetic fibre has a centre line arc length to maximum thickness of less than 8, preferably between 4.5 and 3.8, and even more preferably between 4.4 and 4.0. In an other aspect of the invention, a synthetic fibre is provided of the monofilament type for use in an artificial lawn, in particular an artificial sports lawn, which synthetic fibre has a curved cross section, wherein the circumferential surface of the fibre is provided with a wave shaped pattern.

An artificial turf fiber comprising at least one monofilament, each monofilament comprising a cylindrical core and a cladding. The core comprises a core polymer and threadlike regions formed by a thread polymer and embedded in the core polymer. The cladding is formed by a cladding polymer surrounding the core. It has a non-circular profile and is miscible with the core polymer.

The particulate is present in a core, a sheath, or both portions of polymer matrix. A process of detecting a fabric article is provided that includes the formation of a fiber in the form of a polymer having a cross-section and a length. A particulate is distributed in the polymer. A fiber is formed into a fabric. A fabric article is then manufactured from the fabric. The fabric article passes through an X-ray detector or a magnetic detector. A signal is collected from the X-ray detector or the magnetic detector indicative of the presence of the fabric article.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR FORMING MICROSTRUCTURED FIBRE
A die and method for extruding an extrudable material to form an extruded member is described. In one embodiment, the die comprises a barrier member comprising a plurality of feed channels that extend through the barrier member. Furthermore, the die incorporates a passage forming member extending from the barrier member substantially in the direction of extrusion. The feed channels are arranged with respect to the passage forming member to allow the extrudable material to substantially flow about the passage forming member to form a corresponding passage in the extruded member.
