The present invention relates to a handling apparatus 1 for use at a machine tool, comprising: a base body 2 which can be set up on a floor space, a storage body 3 which can be set up on the top side of the base body 2 and serves to store a plurality of workpieces or tools, and a handling robot 5, which is arranged on the base body 2 and has a gripper device 6 for receiving a workpiece and/or tool from the storage body 3 and for inserting the workpiece and/or tool taken from the storage body 3 by the gripper device 6 into a corresponding workpiece and/or tool support of the machine tool. A plurality of first set-up elements 18 are arranged on the bottom side of the storage body 3 and a plurality of first centering elements 19 are arranged on the top side of the base body 2, wherein, when the storage body 3 is set up on the top side of the base body 2, the first set-up elements 18 interact in each case in pairs and in self-centering manner with the first centering elements 19 in such a way that the storage body 3 adopts a predetermined reference position in relation to the base body 2.

A machine tool is provided which can execute various works while suppressing increase in cost or size. A progressive cold forming machine and a robot for automatically changing a cutoff cassette, tooling cassettes, a transfer slide and transfer cam. A loading area adjacent the machine and robot has provisions for supporting a tooling cassette pallet and a transfer slide and camshaft pallet and a holding area for temporarily receiving some of the componentry being exchanged.

A transfer jig for use in transferring a new cutting blade as a replacement component to the processing unit, in a cutting apparatus including a chuck table holding a workpiece, a processing unit having a spindle and a cutting blade detachably mounted on the spindle, a cutting blade changing unit changing the cutting blade, and a transfer mechanism supplying the workpiece to the processing unit. A tool magazine for tools of a machine tool for processing workpieces includes a first magazine unit that is close to a processing station of the machine tool and a second magazine unit that is remote from the processing station of the machine tool. A machine tool setup changing method includes mounting a master workpiece onto a tool spindle axis, deforming a gripping part by gripping, with the gripping part of a jig, a mock clamped portion of the master workpiece mounted on the tool spindle axis, and removing the master workpiece from the tool spindle axis and mounting a tool supported on a tool support device onto the tool spindle axis, wherein the workpiece gripped at the clamped portion by the gripping part, which was deformed in accordance with the mock clamped portion, can be machined with the tool.

A machine tool system includes a machine tool with a cover that covers a machining space, and a robot unit on which an articulated robot is mounted. A portion of the cover of the machine tool has an opening to allow insertion of the articulated robot of the robot unit into the machining space through the opening. The articulated robot of the robot unit is inserted through the opening, and the opening is closed by a lid of the robot unit.
