Method and apparatus for managing client initiated transmissions in multiple-user communication schemes
A method for wireless communications is disclosed that includes receiving a plurality of requests to transmit data from a plurality of apparatuses; determining resource allocation for a set of apparatuses in the plurality of apparatuses, wherein the determination is based on the plurality of requests; and transmitting a message comprising the resource allocation to the set of apparatuses to permit data transmission. Another method for wireless communications is disclosed that includes contending for access to a medium based on a request, by an apparatus, with a plurality of other apparatuses; receiving a message, the message comprising a resource allocation based on requests from the apparatus and the other apparatuses, wherein the resource allocation permits data transmission from the apparatus and some of the other apparatuses; and transmitting data by the apparatus based on the message. Apparatuses for performing the methods are also disclosed.
Padlock having a blocking plate for a spring-biased locking element
A padlock including a lock body, a shackle having two shanks with grooves for receipt of respective locking elements, and a pin which can be rotated by a lock cylinder core for moving the locking elements into their locking position. The pin has an engagement element configured to cooperate with an entrainer formation on the lock cylinder core. The padlock also includes a blocking plate located between the pin and the lock cylinder core and which is fastened in the lock body. The blocking plate has an opening through which the entrainer formation projects into the plane of the engagement element. The opening is configured such that, on the one hand, rotational movement of the lock cylinder core is possible and, on the other hand, a marginal region of the opening forms an abutment engageable with the entrainer formation for restricting rotational movement of the lock cylinder core.
Lock re-pinning fixture
An exemplary lock re-pinning fixture includes a first housing releasably joined with a second housing, and a follower bar positioned at least partially in the second housing. The follower bar may be structured for a plurality of orientations within the housings, and may be biased toward the first housing. The first housing may be configured to receive a lock cylinder such that the plug of the cylinder is aligned with the follower bar. Further embodiments, forms, features, aspects, benefits, and advantages of the present application shall become apparent from the description and figures provided herewith.
Lock plug including modular cartridges
An exemplary locking cartridge includes a generally cylindrical housing, first and second plates, and a sliding member. The plates are rotatable with respect to the housing, and at least one of the plates is movable in the axial direction of the housing. The housing and the movable plate include cam surfaces that interact to cause the movable plate to move toward the other plate when the movable plate is rotated. The sliding member is slidingly coupled to one of the plates and operable in a blocked state in which the sliding member resists axial motion of the movable plate, and an unblocked state in which the sliding member does not resist axial motion of the movable plate.
Sidebit operated interchangeable core control lug
A retention mechanism for retaining a lock cylinder in a lock housing. The retention mechanism includes a control lug, a control pin, and a finger pin. A portion of the control lug is configured to be positioned in a retention recess of the lock housing when the control lug is in an engagement position to prevent the removal of the lock cylinder from the lock housing. With the control lug in the engaged position, at least a portion of the control pin may be biased into a chamber of the control lug to retain the control lug at the engaged position. When the control lug is to be displaced from the engaged position, the finger pin may be lifted to an activation position, such as by a sidebit of a key, wherein the finger pin may removably displace the control pin from at least a portion of the chamber.
Magnetic key and locking system
A magnetic key comprising: a body; a segmented magnet housed within the body; and a ferrous element housed above the segmented magnet. A protective cap for a magnetic key comprising a body; and a ferrous element housed within the body. A locking system comprises a magnetic key and protective cap.
Lock re-pinning assembly
A lock re-pinning assembly including two or more housings and a mounting block. Each housing is configured for use with a corresponding one of a plurality of lock cylinder shells. Each of the housings includes a cylindrical chamber and a channel. The chamber is configured to receive the body of the corresponding shell, and the channel is configured to receive the tower of the corresponding shell. The mounting block includes a mounting block having two or more sections. Each section is configured for use with a corresponding one of a plurality of lock cylinder plugs. Each section includes a cavity configured to receive an end of at least one of the housings, and a cylindrical follower bar having a diameter substantially equal to a diameter of the corresponding plug. Each of the housings is releasably engageable with the mounting block at each of the plurality of sections.
