A system for the contactless sealing of a rotatably mounted shaft with respect to a housing, and a gear unit, oil being provided in the interior of the housing, in particular, the rotating shaft protruding from the interior into the outer area; a centrifugal disk, joined in rotatably fixed manner to the shaft, having at least partially radially extending bores that connect oil from a centrifugal chamber to a collection chamber surrounding the centrifugal disk.

Fan drive gear system integrated carrier and torque frame

A method of assembling a fan drive gear system includes the steps of installing spherical bearings into respective races to provide a plurality of bearing assemblies, mounting at least one of the bearing assemblies onto a corresponding shaft of a torque frame, each of the shafts fixed relative to one another, installing at least one gear onto at least one of the bearing assemblies, the gears meshing with a ring gear and a centrally located sun gear and grounding the torque frame to a static structure to prevent rotation of the torque frame.

Gear motor assembly

A gear motor assembly includes a casing having a through hole, a motor fixed to the casing, an output shaft, a gear fixed to the output shaft and driven by the motor, and a substantially tubular bearing fixed in the through hole of the casing. The gear has a central hub which has an axial end surface, and a shaft portion extending from a central portion of the axial end surface of the central hub. The shaft portion is sleeved in the bearing. A slot is formed in the outer surface of the shaft portion and is filled with lubricant. The slot extends from a free end of the shaft portion to a joint between the outer surface of the shaft portion and the axial end surface of the central hub.

A lubricant, a friction pair having the lubricant and a method for controlling COF between the friction pair are provided. The friction pair includes a first friction part (1) and a second friction part (2). Firstly a lubricant (4) is provided between the first and second friction parts (1, 2). Then a potential is applied on the first friction part (1) via the lubricant (4). And COF is controlled by controlling the potential. The lubricant (4) contains propylene carbonate and a surfactant.

Lubrication pinion module, lubrication pinion, and method for manufacturing a lubrication pinion module

A lubrication pinion module for applying a lubricant onto a to-be-lubricated element includes a gear element having an inner surface mounted on an outer surface of a bearing element, the bearing element being mountable for rotation on a shaft and having at least one recess on its outer surface, and the gear element including a plurality of radially outwardly facing gear teeth, each of the plurality of gear teeth having first and second flanks, and at least one projection on the gear element inner surface extending into the at least one recess of the bearing element outer surface to form an interference fit with the bearing element such that the gear element rotates conjointly with the bearing element.

Gearing

A gearing having a shaft that projects from the gear interior into the environment, the shaft being sealed with the aid of at least one contactless seal, and the opening of the contactless seal, which is oriented toward the interior of the gearing, i.e., the spatial region of the gearing that contains the lubricating oil, being disposed above the lubricating oil level that comes about when the gearing is not in operation, a tin piece being disposed between the opening and the gear-tooth piece situated closest to this opening and generating lubricating oil waves and/or lubricating oil foam from the lubricating oil bath.

Transmission Device

A transmission is provided including a splitter shaft having a concentric cavity defined in a distal end thereof and an outer wall surrounding the cavity. The outer wall has an increased thickness in order to reduce failure and fracturing in the outer wall area. A bearing hub adapted for supporting a larger bearing is also provided. The improved transmission may include a system for utilizing existing lubrication lines in order to lubricate a center section of the transmission. The components of the present invention may be provided as part of a kit for retrofitting an existing transmission in order to reduce failures and increase lifespan.
