Processing method for brake rotor-equipped wheel bearing devices
An outer member and an inner member constituting a wheel bearing device are assembled and the brake rotor is fixed to the hub ring of the inner member. In this state, the pad slide surfaces of the brake rotor are lathed with the reference provided by a wheel pilot end surface. Alternatively, the wheel pilot end surface of the hub ring by chucking the knuckle pilot of the outer member with the wheel bearing device put in its assembled state, and the pad slide surfaces of the brake rotor are lathed with the reference provided by the wheel pilot end surface.
On-car brake lathe adjustable hub adapter
An adjustable hub adapter for coupling an on-car brake lathe to a wheel hub. An annular support frame coaxially carries an axially bored and threaded central mounting hub with a set of equidistantly spaced spokes. A lug bolt receiver is associated with each spoke, and consists of a receiving tube, a lever arm pivotally coupled to the spoke at a pivot bolt in proximity to the annular support frame. An engagement pin on each lever arm is captured within a synchronizing ring carried on the annular support frame. The rotational movement of any lug bolt receiver about an axis of the pivot bolt imparts rotational movement to the synchronizing ring, and in turn, causes each remaining bolt receiver to rotate about an associated pivot bolt axis, maintaining the lug bolt receivers in a synchronized and symmetric radial displacement from the central mounting hub.
On-Car Brake Lathe Adjustable Hub Adapter
An adjustable hub adapter for coupling an on-car brake lathe to a wheel hub. A numerical controller according to the present invention includes: a turning condition designation unit that designates a machining condition of turning; a nicking condition designation unit that designates a machining condition of nicking; a fixed cycle instruction analysis unit that generates an instruction sequence of a turning cycle operation based on the turning machining condition; and a nicking operation instruction generation unit that generates an instruction sequence of a nicking cycle operation based on the turning machining condition and the nicking machining condition. The numerical controller executes the instruction sequence of the nicking cycle operation before executing the instruction sequence of the turning cycle operation.
