Device for forming separation starting point, stack manufacturing apparatus, and method for forming separation starting point

A device for forming a separation starting point that allows separation of a surface layer of a processed member to form a remaining portion is provided. A manufacturing device of a stack including a support and a remaining portion of a processed member whose surface layer is separated is provided. The device for forming the separation starting point includes a stage that supports the processed member, a cutter that faces the stage, a head portion that supports the cutter, an arm portion that supports the head portion, and a moving mechanism that relatively moves the cutter to the stage.

Cutting apparatus

Described herein is a cutting apparatus (100) for allowing visual inspection of a core sample in an inner tube at a drilling site after the inner tube has been removed from a coring tube and prior to it being transported to a laboratory. The cutting apparatus (100) comprises a support track (110, 112, 114, 116)) on which is mounted a tube support member (120), a cutter wagon (130, 132, 138) and a drive arrangement (140, 142, 144, 146). The apparatus (100) provides relative movement between an inner tube (150) and the cutter wagon (130, 132, 138) to allow a section of the inner tube (150) to be removed along its entire length for visual inspection. The drive arrangement (140, 142, 144, 146) provides the relative movement between the inner tube (150) and the cutter wagon (130, 132, 138).

The present invention concerns a method for removal of material residues, particularly tissue or similar porous, non-self-supporting materials, from a material-carrying core, which often has relatively large dimensions, e.g. a diameter of approx. 300 mm and a length of approx. 2540 mm, and thereby allow re-use of the core in the same way as new and unused cores a number of times for winding non-self-supporting or porous material, particularly tissue, wherein a cut section is made in the envelope surface of the roll having the material-carrying core from one end or end portion of the roll to the other end or end portion of the roll by means of a driven rotary knife, which is connected to a motor for rotation of the same.
