The invention is a method for operating a panel saw of a framework supporting a set of beveled railings, the railings being held in a parallel and spaced apart orientation to one another and to the framework; a carriage having at least two pairs of opposing beveled carriage side edges and at least one tool securing apparatus, one pair of opposing carriage side edges reversibly removably engages the set of railings to movably locate the carriage between the set of railings; wherein the carriage moves in and out of contact with the railings through the top ends of the railings to allow the one pair of carriage side edges to be moved out of contact with the set of railings while alternately allowing the remaining pair to reversibly engage the set of railings in a manner that lets permits the carriage move along the railings in a self-centering manner.

VARIABLE CUTOFF IN A CUTTER FOLDER
A folder for a printing press includes a cutting cylinder assembly having at least two knife and anvil cylinder sets positioned near the cutting region of a folder. The cutting cylinder assembly slides or actuates one of the knife and anvil cylinder sets into a cutting position for a desired cut length. The web passes between the knife and anvil cylinder set and is cut. When the cut length needs to be changed, the assembly is relocated to such a position that a second or further set of knife and anvil cylinders is aligned with the web.

Torch guide device
A torch guide assembly for cutting target material is presented, the torch guide assembly including a cradle assembly coupled to a rail assembly. The cradle assembly is configured for holding a torch to align a torch tip of the torch to the target material. The cradle assembly is movable along the rail assembly for cutting the target material along a cutting path. A connector member couples the cradle assembly to the rail assembly. The connector member comprises a pivot for pivoting the cradle assembly relative to the rail assembly. The cradle assembly, in a first position, pivots about the pivot to engage at least a portion of the rail assembly to establish an orientation of the torch tip relative to the target material. A magnetic clamp assembly comprises a mechanical device for releasing the clamp.
Curd cutting method
A method is disclosed for cutting cheese curd mass in a curd vat. A cutting apparatus is inserted into the vat before the curd mass is formed. A first cutting frame is used to cut the cheese curd in a first direction along one plane of the curd vat. The first cutting frame comprises one or more cutting wires extending in one or more directions. The method further comprises using a second cutting frame with one or more cutting wires extending in one or more directions. The second cutting frame operates in a second direction, wherein the second cutting operation removes the apparatus from the curd vat.
