Device to determine the diameter of the conductor of a wire
09803970 · 2017-10-31 · ·

A wire-processing device includes a first advancing device, a cutter head, and a second advancing device. The first advancing device pulls the wire out of a wire store and advances according to the desired length of wire to be cut. After the wire is cut through by the cutter head, the wire-ends of the wire-length are processed. The wire-processing device is provided with a device to determine the diameter of the conductor of the wire including an input coupler that generates in the wire a wire signal, and wherein the wire signal can be sensed by an output coupler which generates an input signal which is interpreted by a signal processor, wherein the cutters of the cutter head touch the conductor and change the input signal when cutting into the wire.

Systems and methods of feeding hook fastening elements

Systems and methods for introducing hook fastening elements into a mold traveling along a mold assembly line are disclosed. The system can be configured to cut hook fastening tape into strips having a predetermined length based on information received from the mold assembly line, and to drop the cut strips directly into the mold at the appropriate intervals as the mold travels along the mold assembly line. Also disclosed is a system for facilitating the continuous feeding of hook fastening tape through the system.

Table Saws

Table saws with safety systems are disclosed. The safety systems detect and react to dangerous conditions, such as contact between the blade and a person. The table saws may include a switch, a first light that illuminates to indicate the safety system is operable, and a second light that illuminates to indicate that the safety system is inoperable. The switch may not power the saw when switched on if the second light is illuminated.

Method and apparatus for trimming photovoltaic modules

An apparatus and a method for trimming a module are disclosed. In and embodiment the method includes fixing a rear transverse side of module, guiding the rear cutting head along the rear transverse side thereby cutting off a rear overlapping portion of the overlapping film and releasing the rear transverse. The method further includes moving the module into a region of two longitudinal cutting devices, fixing the module on both longitudinal sides, guiding longitudinal cutting heads along the longitudinal sides thereby cutting off longitudinally overlapping film portions on both longitudinal sides, and releasing the longitudinal sides of the module. The method furthermore includes moving the module into a region of the front cutting device, fixing a front transverse side of the module, guiding a front cutting head along the front transverse side thereby cutting off a front overlapping portion of the overlapping film.

Method and food slicing device with cutting force determination

The disclosure relates to a method for operating a food slicing device in which a food cutting blade is controlled by a sensor, and a device for cutting food. The sensor is used to control the cutting operation of the device. When the sensor senses that the cutting blade is worn, a signal is sent to the apparatus motor to increase cutting force. When the senor detects the consistency and content of the material to be cut, a suitable cutting blade, rotation speed and force can be selected. The sensor can also determine the cutting quality of a cutting blade across its circumference by determining the localized bluntness of the blade edge.
