The support table has a substantially flat tube-supporting surface, and the separating device has a cutting knife and a tube feed which can move parallel to the separating plane and has two thrust pieces arranged on both sides of the separating plane, each having a tube contact surface. At least one of the thrust pieces has a thrust piece attachment adjustably attached to a carrier and having tube contact surfaces.
