Chipper chain and motor-driven chain saw having a chipper chain
The invention relates to a chipper chain (10) for a motor-driven chain saw (9) as well as a chain saw having such a chipper chain (10). The chipper chain (10) includes drive links (1), connecting links (2), and cutting links (3). The drive links (1) each have a drive projection (4). The cutting links (3) each have an upper cutting blade (5) and a depth limiter (6) which leads the upper cutting blade (5). The chipper chain (10) has a maximum width (A) which is defined by the upper cutting blades (5), a maximum height (C) which is measured perpendicularly to its longitudinal axis and extends from the drive projection (3) to the upper cutting blade (5), and an average divide (T) predetermined by the average distance of adjacent pivot pins (7). The product of the maximum width (A), the maximum height (C), and the average divide (T) is 450 mm.sup.3. The driving power of the motor-driven chain saw (9) is 1.0 kW.
Cutting strand segment
A cutting strand segment for a cutting strand of a machine tool separating device includes at least one blade carrier element, at least one blade element arranged on the blade carrier element, and at least one cutting depth limiting element arranged on the blade carrier element which is configured to limit a maximum cutting depth of the blade element to a value that is less than 0.5 mm.
K-wire depth measurement
An assembly includes a surgical device (10) including a distal interface member (12) and a proximal handle (14), the distal interface member (12) including a connecting element (16) for connecting to a surgical tool (18), and a K-wire (20) that passes through a central passageway of the surgical device (10) distally through the distal interface member (12) into a lumen of the surgical tool (18). A wire depth measurement tool (30) includes a handle interface member (32) that assembles to the handle (14) and one or more graduated scales (36) that extend proximally from the handle interface member (32). The graduated scales (36) include depth graduations for indicating an amount a tip of the K-wire (20) protrudes from a distal end of the surgical tool (18).
Chain saw cutter links
Embodiments of chain saw cutter links, and related apparatuses and methods. For example, in some embodiments, a cutter link may include a top plate, a sharpened surface having an upper end and a lower end, and a depth gauge having a top surface. The sharpened surface may define a reference line tangent to the sharpened surface at the upper end such that the reference line extends between the top plate and the sharpened surface, a sharpened width may be defined by a minimum distance between the reference line and the lower end of the sharpened surface, an opening width may be defined by a minimum distance between the reference line and the top surface of the depth gauge, and the sharpened width may be greater than the opening width.
Kickback reducing chain link
A cutting chain (100) moving in a cutting direction (120) is disclosed in the present invention. The cutting chain (100) includes a cutting link (106), which further includes a cutting portion (120), a depth gauge (118) and a space (122) between the cutting portion (120) and the depth gauge (118). The cutting chain (100) further includes a bumper drive link (104) which is pivotally connected to the cutting link (106) and immediately precedes the cutting link (106) in the cutting direction (124). The bumper drive link (104) further includes a tail (204) and a body (202). The tail (204) of the bumper drive link (104) further includes a bent portion (206) and a straight portion (208). Further, the bent portion (206) is oriented in a substantially perpendicular direction relative to a plane (P) of the body (202) of the bumper drive link (104). Moreover, the bent portion (206) of the tail (204) extends into the space (122) between the cutting portion (120) and the depth gauge (118) of the cutting link (106).
