Method of using efficient die cutting pattern for footwear manufacture
A cutting die for cutting a plurality of parts of an article of footwear from a bulk material. The cutting die includes a first cutting member that cuts a first part of the article of footwear from the bulk material. The cutting die also includes a second cutting member that cuts a second part of the article of footwear from the bulk material. The second cutting member is fixed to the first cutting member to cut the first and second parts together with a single stroke of the cutting die relative to the bulk material. The first and second parts are separate and distinct from each other and have different shapes.
Tooling assembly, blanking tool therefor and associated method
A blanking tool is provided for cutting blanks from a sheet of material. The sheet of material includes a product area where the blanks are located, and a web area, which is the area between the blanks. The blanking tool includes a shear having first and second opposing sides, an outer diameter, and an inner diameter. A plurality of contact surfaces are disposed on the second side of the shear. The contact surfaces engage only the web of the material. A tooling assembly is also disclosed, which includes first and second tooling coupled to first and second opposing portions, respectively, of a press and being structured to cooperate to engage the sheet of material therebetween. The blanking tool is coupled to the first tooling, and the shear of the blanking tool cooperates with a portion of the second tooling to cut the blanks from the material.
Assembly for coping and mounting trim molding
A method for installing a finish trim molding on a wall, the method includes mounting a trim holding device on the wall, the trim holding device comprising a mounting bracket configured to mount in facing contact with the wall, the mounting bracket further comprising a pair of mounting flanges disposed on the mounting bracket, the pair of mounting flanges being substantially horizontal and extending perpendicularly outward away from the mounting bracket and the wall; and mounting the finish trim molding onto the trim holding device, the finish trim molding defining a pair of channels, the pair of channels being substantially horizontal and defined perpendicular to a vertical rear surface of the finish trim molding, the pair of channels configured to receive the pair of mounting flanges.
Cutter
A hydraulic tool cutting dies including first and second cutting dies. The first cutting die has a first mounting section and a first cutting edge. The first mounting section is sized and shaped to removably attached to a hydraulic tool. The second cutting die has a second mounting section and a second cutting edge. The second mounting section is sized and shaped to removably attached to the hydraulic tool. The first cutting die includes a post extending past the first cutting edge and the second cutting die includes a post receiving area which has a different cross-sectional shape than the post.
Composite material lay-up equipment
There is disclosed composite material lay-up equipment for applying a plurality of individual lengths of elongate fiber reinforcement material to an article, the equipment comprising: a support head; a cutting mechanism carried by the support head for severing a plurality of individual lengths of elongate fiber reinforcement material. The cutting mechanism comprises a plurality of cutting elements coupled to and moveable with respect to the support head and a cassette removably attached to the support head and having a plurality of corresponding counteracting elements statically mounted thereto. Each cutting element is displaceable relative to the corresponding counteracting element to perform a cutting stroke in which the respective cutting and counteracting elements cooperate to sever a length of elongate fiber reinforcement material extending through the nip formed between them.
Assembly for coping and mounting trim molding
An assembly for coping and mounting trim molding is provided. A trim holding device for mounting a finish trim molding and a coping device are provided. The coping device includes a platform, having a back, into which to place a finish trim molding for coping and cutting, and a blade assembly having a cutter blade and configured to be manually actuated by a lever. The blade assembly is adjustable and is configured to rotate. The cutter blade is configured specifically to a size and a shape of the finish trim molding to be cut and coped. The mounting device includes a bracket, having a pair of mounting flanges, configured for placement along a wall. The bracket and flanges form generally an F shape trim holding device. The flanges are configured to securely hold a finish trim molding without the use of nails, glues, and adhesives.

Shearing blade having a blade insert
A shearing blade for a cutting device includes a main body that has a seat and a blade insert that is arranged on the seat and forms a cutting wedge, wherein the cutting wedge forms a cutting edge via a flank face and a pressure face at an angle to the flank face. The seat has at least one undercut face that acts in a direction transverse to the flank face. When the blade insert is inserted, the undercut face interacts with at least one form-closure face formed on the blade insert, whereby a form closure taking effect transversely to the flank face is established. The blade insert is fastened to the main body by at least one pin-shaped plug-in connection element, which is oriented perpendicular to the flank face and which is arranged in aligned holes in the main body and in the blade insert.
