MULTIPURPOSE MACHINE FOR SURFACE TREATMENT AND RELATED METHOD

An apparatus for treating a surface has a vehicle including an extensible boom. A multi-purpose hood is attached to the boom. The hood includes at least one nozzle for spraying a fluid through an outlet of the hood, the nozzle adapted for reciprocating, non-rotational movement in a generally linear direction relative to the opening in the hood. The multi-purpose hood may be adapted for rotating independently about three different axes, and may include a first actuator for controlling a roll of the hood, a second actuator for controlling a yaw of the hood, a third actuator for controlling a pitch of the hood, and a fourth actuator for controlling an extension of the boom and a second actuator for controlling a swing of the boom. The extensible boom may be connected to a telescoping conduit for communicating fluid along the boom to or from the multi-purpose hood. Related methods are also disclosed.

Universal adapter

A universal adapter includes a main tube for a combined suction unit and blasting unit. The main tube has a first connecting section for connection to a suction line of the suction unit and a second connecting section for connection to a working chamber. In order to reduce the number of suction adapters needed to connect to different openings in working chambers, the second connecting section is made of a flexible material and has a cutout in its periphery that extends from a free end of the second connecting section in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the main pipe.

Coil spring processing device

A coil spring processing device includes an end positioning device, shot peening device, and controller. The end positioning device positions ends of a coil spring. The shot peening device includes a turntable mechanism, pressure mechanism, rotation mechanism which rotates the coil spring, and projection mechanism which projects shots. Holding mechanisms each include a lower shifting prevention jig and an upper shifting prevention jig. The controller stops a first holding mechanism and a second holding mechanism in rotation stop positions corresponding to end turn portions of the coil spring.
