ACCURATE POSITIONING OF AUGMENTED REALITY CONTENT

A system for accurately positioning augmented reality (AR) content within a coordinate system such as the World Geodetic System (WGS) may include AR content tethered to trackable physical features. As the system is used by mobile computing devices, each mobile device may calculate and compare relative positioning data between the trackable features. The system may connect and group the trackable features hierarchically, as measurements are obtained. As additional measurements are made of the trackable features in a group, the relative position data may be improved, e.g., using statistical methods.

Systems and Methods of Updating User Identifiers in an Image-Sharing Environment
20180005062 · 2018-01-04 ·

Computer-implemented methods and systems of updating user identifiers in an image-sharing environment include features for facilitating blocking, permitting, sharing and/or modifying content such as images and videos. User identification vectors providing data representative of a user and information about one or more facial characteristics of the user are broadcasted by a modular computing device. Information about one or more additional characteristics of the user (e.g., body characteristics and/or contextual characteristics) as determined from images of the user obtained by one or more image capture devices are received. An updated user identification vector including the information about one or more additional characteristics of the user is stored at and subsequently broadcasted by the modular computing device.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PARTIALLY OCCLUDED OBJECT DETECTION
20180005025 · 2018-01-04 ·

A method for partially occluded object detection includes obtaining a response map for a detection window of an input image, the response map based on a trained model and including a root layer and a parts layer. The method includes determining visibility flags for each root cell of the root layer and each part of the parts layer. The visibility flag is one of visible or occluded. The method includes determining an occlusion penalty for each root cell with a visibility flag of occluded and for each part with a visibility flag of occluded. The occlusion penalty is based on a location of the root cell or the part with respect to the detection window. The method determines a detection score for the detection window based on the visibility flags and the occlusion penalties and generates an estimated visibility map for object detection based on the detection score.

METHOD AND DEVICE FOR OBTAINING SIMILAR FACE IMAGES AND FACE IMAGE INFORMATION

The present invention provides a method and device for acquiring a similar human face picture and acquiring information about a human face picture. It mainly relates to the field of Internet technology, and mainly aims to provide the user a similar human face picture including a similar person when a similar picture is provided. The method comprising: acquiring a human face picture specified by a user; conducting human face identification to the human face picture to identify a similar human face picture of the human face picture from human face pictures that have already been collected; and displaying the similar human face picture to the user.

METHOD AND DEVICE FOR QUANTIFICATION OF PLANT CHLOROPHYLL CONTENT

A system for measuring chlorophyll concentration in a leaf sample includes a leaf-holding illuminator device with a main body containing a power source, a plurality of switchable light sources emitting light at different spectra (e.g., red and white light from a broadband light source), and a cap detachably secured to the main body using one or more fastening means. The leaf sample is interposed between the main body and the cap and held in place during imaging. The system includes a mobile electronic device having a camera configured to capture an image of the leaf illuminated by the plurality of switchable light sources, the mobile electronic device having wireless connectivity to a network and an application contained therein configured to transfer the images to a remote sever or computer via the network for data processing. A final chlorophyll index value is calculated based on the transferred images.

Fingerprint Emulator

An access key for a device having a fingerprint activated lock includes an electrically conductive member having surface features formed on a surface thereof that can be recognized by the fingerprint activated lock as a unique fingerprint. A second electrically conductive member is electrically coupled to the first electrically conductive member. The second electrically conductive member is electrically coupled to the body of a user such that the sensor recognizes the first electrically conductive member as a fingerprint. The second electrically conductive member is preferably a ring, stylus or gripping portion upon which the first electrically conductive member is mounted. The electrically conductive member is preferably constructed from a capacitive elastomer such as an electrically conductive silicone. The access key functions as a synthetic fingerprint to limit access to a system to a possessor of the key. Access to the system provided by key can be limited to a predetermined period of time or a selected geographic area.

[Problem] To provide a motion condition estimation device, a motion condition estimation method and a motion condition estimation program capable of accurately estimating the motion condition of monitored subjects even in a crowded environment. [Solution] A motion condition estimation device according to the present invention is provided with a quantity estimating means 81 and a motion condition estimating means 82. The quantity estimating means 81 uses a plurality of chronologically consecutive images to estimate a quantity of monitored subjects for each local region in each image. The motion condition estimating means 82 estimates the motion condition of the monitored subjects from chronological changes in the quantities estimated in each local region.

SHELF SPACE ALLOCATION MANAGEMENT DEVICE AND SHELF SPACE ALLOCATION MANAGEMENT METHOD

A shelf space allocation management device manages products allocated on shelves in a store by use of an imaging device. The shelf space allocation management device acquires an image including a position assumed to be changed in allocation status of each product on each shelf; it determines whether each product reflected in the image matches one of pre-recorded images, thus executing a product allocation inspection. Herein, the shelf space allocation management device specifies a position at which a person causes any change in the allocation status of each product on each shelf, and therefore it may control the imaging device to capture an image including the position. It is possible to carry out a product allocation inspection for each period determined in advance depending on the type of each product, or it is possible to carry out a product allocation inspection being triggered by a customer purchasing each product.
