METHOD FOR PRODUCING MODIFIED WOOD-BASED MATERIAL, FURAN DERIVATIVE RESINIFICATION SOLUTION, AND MODIFIED WOOD-BASED MATERIAL
A method of producing a wood-based material that is modified is provided. Specifically, there is provided a method of producing a wood-based material, comprising 1) a step of impregnating a wood-based material with a furan derivative resinification solution that comprises a furan derivative, an inorganic salt inhibiting polymerization of the furan derivative at normal temperature, and an inorganic salt accelerating polymerization of the furan derivative; and 2) a step of polymerizing the furan derivative in the furan derivative resinification solution impregnated into the wood-based material within the wood-based material by means of heating.
Wood-based biomimetic artificial muscle and preparation method and application thereof
The invention relates to a wood-based biomimetic artificial muscle and preparation method and application thereof. The biomimetic artificial muscle comprises a wood-based cellulose skeleton, and polyvinyl alcohol and at least one ionic polymer filled in the wood-based cellulose skeleton. The preparation method includes S1: slicing wood, and subjecting the obtained wood slices to ammonia treatment and delignification in sequence; S2: soaking in the solution of citric acid and/or citrate; S3: preparing water solution of an ionic polymer and DMSO water solution of polyvinyl alcohol separately, and mixing to obtain polymer solution; S4: subjecting the treated wood slices to vacuum treatment, filling the polymer solution into the container, releasing vacuum, and pressurizing to infiltrate the polymer into the wood slices until saturation; S5: freezing the wood slices in a refrigerator and thawing; and S6: repeating S5 for 5-10 times, washing the wood slices, and drying. The inventive biomimetic artificial muscle obtained by physical crosslinking not only has the same elasticity and electrostriction as the polymer, but also maintains the strength of the wood-based skeleton.
Engineered timber products, components and methodologies
A method of drying sticks, a related apparatus, resultant product and its uses where the method involves presenting a plurality of sticks in parallel as a single layer, pressing each stick with a bank of pressing members on and/or into at least one face of the sticks, each with plurality of protuberances, thereby to constrain the sticks against crook, and drying the sticks when so constrained. Preferably each bank of pressing members is an underside of a frame or lattice of a stack of such frames or lattices able to receive such a single layer of sticks between adjacent overlying/underlying frames or lattices, the protuberances preferably being only downwardly directed.
Production Method For Modified Lignocellulose Materials
Production method for modified lignocellulose materials. The present invention relates to a production method for modified lignocellulose materials, comprising the impregnation of a lignocellulose material, especially wood, with a solution of an acid and an alcohol as well as treatment of the material with superheated steam at elevated temperatures.
PROCESS FOR PARTIAL DELIGNIFICATION AND FILLING OF A LIGNOCELLULOSIC MATERIAL, AND COMPOSITE MATERIAL STRUCTURE ABLE TO BE OBTAINED BY THIS PROCESS
The invention relates to a process for treating a lignocellulosic material, e.g., wood, comprising the following steps: providing a lignocellulosic material; removing at least some but less than all lignin from the lignocellulosic material to yield a delignified structure; and densifying the delignified structure to yield the delignified, densified material, wherein the delignified, densified material is equal in size or is smaller in size relative to the lignocellulosic material provided; where densifying may include contacting said delignified structure, at least in part, with at least one fluid at a pressure greater than atmospheric pressure. The invention also relates to a composite structure able to be obtained in this way, and to any part comprising at least one such structure.
ARRANGEMENT FOR FEEDING WOOD PARTICLES INTO IMPREGNATING
An arrangement for feeding wood particles into an impregnating stage of a wood treatment process comprises a feed silo (301, 701), at least one impregnating vessel (305, 601, 602, 603, 703) for receiving wood particles into said impregnating stage, and two or more conveyors (302, 303, 304, 501, 502, 503, 702) between said feed silo (301, 701) and said at least one impregnating vessel (305, 601, 602, 603, 703), for transferring wood particles from said feed silo (301, 701) to said at least one impregnating vessel (305, 601, 602, 603, 703). Each of said conveyors (302, 303, 304, 501, 502, 503, 702) is a compressing conveyor for applying pressure to the wood particles on their way through the respective conveyor.
METHOD OF MANUFACTURING BAMBOO TOOTHBRUSH AND BAMBOO TOOTHBRUSH MANUFACTURED THEREBY
Disclosed is a method of manufacturing bamboo toothbrush and a toothbrush manufactured thereby. According to the method of manufacturing bamboo toothbrush of a detailed embodiment of the present invention and a toothbrush manufactured by the method, it is possible to improve strength, surface roughness, and moisture resistance of a bamboo and adjust the color of the bamboo using hot pressing. Further, since sanding and polishing and separate coating and drying are not performed, the process time is reduced, whereby the manufacturing cost can be reduced.
HEAT-TREATED ENGINEERED WOOD FOR FLOORING
Thermally-modified panels, boards, and flooring manufactured from engineered wood, including, but not limited to, oriented-strand board (OSB). These products may be in the form of a sub-floor panel or substrate, a board, a panel, a combined panel, tile, or similar form. Heat treatment or thermal modification of wood or wood-based composites provides wood-based products with improved water resistance, dimensional stability, microbial resistance, and related biological durability with reduced use of harmful chemicals and/or the elimination of hazardous chemical pretreatments.
