PRESSABLE COATING SYSTEM FOR THE PRODUCTION OF PANEL PRODUCTS
A panel and a panel production method are provided wherein an elastomeric coating, and preferably, a water-based elastomeric polyurethane coating, is applied to a pre-existing, finished panel construct, by pressing the coating onto the panel construct, and thereby bond the coating to the surface of the panel construct. The method is used to produce enhanced panels which can be used in the production of flooring materials, wall panels, furniture, countertops, and the like. The resultant panels typically have an enhanced surface that protects the surface layer of the panel construct. The coated panel can also be made abrasion resistant, and can also be enhanced so as to provide better acoustical properties while providing a soft touch, haptic surface.

Provided is a composition for a sound insulating sheet member, a sound insulating sheet member, and a sound insulating structure body with excellent sound insulating performance. A sound insulating structure body including: a plurality of convex-shaped rubber-elastic resonant portions; and a sheet-like support that supports the resonant portions, wherein the resonant portions have a storage modulus G obtained from a composite curve of dynamic viscoelasticity according to ISO 6721-4 of 100 MPa or less at 25? C. and 10 kHz, and the areal density of the support is 1.0 kg/m.sup.2 or less.
Composite materials for damping acoustic vibrations
An article for damping vibrations by constrained layer damping comprising: a first constraining layer; a second constraining layer; and a damping layer disposed between the first and second constraining layers, wherein the first and second constraining layers each independently comprise a fibre-reinforced composite material, wherein the first and second constraining layers each independently have a thickness from 1.5 to 5 mm, wherein the damping layer comprises a viscoelastic material, wherein the damping layer has a thickness from 1 to 10 mm and wherein the article has a thickness from 6 to 50 mm. The invention also relates to the use of said article for damping vibrations in a vehicle.
COMPOSITION FOR SOUND INSULATING SHEET MEMBER, SOUND INSULATING SHEET MEMBER, AND SOUND INSULATING STRUCTURE BODY
A structural body including a plurality of convex-shaped rubber-elastic resonant portions, and a sheet-like support that supports the resonant portions. A specific gravity of the resonant portions is 1.0 g/cm.sup.3 or more and 3.0 g/cm.sup.3 or less, a height of the resonant portions is from 50 ?m to 100 mm, and an areal density of the support is 1.0 kg/m.sup.2 or less.
Airlaid composite sheet material and method
Provided is a composite sheet that is particularly useful as an AQDL component in absorbent articles. The composite sheet includes a fluid acquisition component and an airlaid component. The airlaid component may include one or more airlaid layers that are successively formed overlying each other. Each of the airlaid layers are adjacent to, and in direct contact with, immediately adjacent layers of the airlaid component so that adjacent layers are in fluid communication with respect to each other. The fluid acquisition component includes a nonwoven fabric comprising a carded nonwoven fabric comprised of a plurality of staple fibers that are air through bonded to each other to form a coherent nonwoven fabric. The airlaid layer(s) include a blend of cellulose and non-cellulose staple fibers. The staple fibers may be bicomponent fibers having a polyethyelene sheath and a polypropylene or polyethylene terephthalate core, and mixtures of such fibers.
Low-vibration cylinder
The invention relates to a cylinder (10) which is set up for application of at least one hollow cylinder, the cylinder (10) having a layer structure which comprises in this order, from inside to outside, a base layer (12) or a cylinder core, a first compressible layer (14), a filling layer (16), an interlayer (18), a second compressible layer (20) and an outer layer (22), the outer layer forming a lateral surface of the cylinder. The invention further relates to arrangements comprising at least one such cylinder (10) and further cylinders.
ADHESIVE COMPOSITIONS BASED ON GRAFTED RESINS
A curable adhesive that is particularly well suited for use in an injection or compression molding operation. The adhesive is based on polymeric resins having carboxylic acid and acrylate ester functionality, such as grafted phenoxy resin, and further constituents such as organic carbonates, blocked isocyanates, catalysts, maleimide compounds, hydride sources, and a carrier fluid. The curable adhesives are particularly well suited for bonding liquid injectable substrates such as liquid silicone rubber, or polyamides to rigid substrates, such as aluminum, stainless steel, or glass.
LAMINATE
An object of the present invention is to provide a laminate of an olefin-type rubber, which is non-polar or has a small polarity and which is difficult to bond with a different material, and a rubber including Group 16 elements and/or Group 17 elements, which is a different kind of rubber. The laminate according to the present invention includes a structure including, in order, an olefin-type rubber layer (A) ; an adhesive resin layer (B) containing at least one selected from the group consisting of an ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer, a silane-modified ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer, an ethylene/acrylic acid copolymer and an ionomer thereof, and an ethylene/methacrylic acid copolymer and an ionomer thereof; and a rubber layer (C) containing Group 16 elements and/or Group 17 elements.
Footwear component tooling for use with microwave energy
The utilization of heat in the manufacturing of footwear may be accomplished through microwave energy. The microwave energy is conveyed to the footwear components through a microwave transparent window of a tool. The microwave transparent tool window forms as least a portion of a part-contacting surface of the tool. Another surface of the tool is formed from a microwave reflecting material, such as aluminum. The footwear component(s) are exposed to microwave energy while within the tool such that the microwave energy passes through the tool window to cause a dielectric heating of one or more materials within a tool cavity of the tool.
