A tire includes a plurality of rim members disposed at different positions on a same axis, a plurality of body springs that connect between the respective plurality of rim members, and an interlink member that interlinks the adjacent body springs. Each of the plurality of body springs includes an elastic deformable portion, and latch portions that are provided at both ends of the elastic deformable portion and have a different shape from the elastic deformable portion. The latch portions are latched on the rim members.

Automobile hub with hollow rim, hub assembling method and automobile

An automobile hub with a hollow rim includes a wheel disc and the rim with at least one hollow cavity, in which the rim includes at least two mutually nested rings and an axial end cap at the same ends of the at least two rings, and the hollow cavity consists of the rings and the axial end cap. The outer side of one end of the wheel disc includes axial rim mounting grooves, and the rim is inserted into the rim mounting grooves and fixed to the wheel disc through the end without the axial end cap. By employing the automobile hub with the hollow rim, the hub assembling method, and the automobile having the hub, the weight of the hub can be further reduced, and the hub has sufficient strength.

A variable compliance non-pneumatic wheel which comprises a stationary tubular body (32) attached to the vehicle chassis. A tubular member is freely rotatable relative to the stationary tubular body and has a series of peripheral mounting rods (12, 13) on sides of the wheel. A plurality of interconnected and freely rotating caterpillar-like tiles (5), which are in contact with the ground during wheel operation, are coupled to the outer periphery of the wheel. A plurality of connecting spring members, (3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11), each connecting a specific mounting rod on a side of the hub (1, 2) are configured to connect the tiles (5) to the hub. The tubular member is split in two parts (1, 2) which are each free to rotate relative to one another. Each part carries approximately half number of mounting rods and connecting springs on a respective side of the wheel.

BOLT TOGETHER WHEEL WITH DEFLATION SYSTEM

A bolt together wheel assembly with deflation system includes an inner wheel half, an outer wheel half, a bolt cover ring, and a removable valve stem. Clamping bolts and clamping nuts secure the outer wheel half to the inner wheel half. Venting port plugs secure the bolt cover ring to the outer wheel half over the clamping bolts. Loosening one or more of the venting port plugs to access the clamping bolts opens a seal to a vent port within the inner wheel half and releases pressurized air from a tire on the wheel, ensuring that the tire is deflated before the wheel can be disassembled.

Tire rim assembly having inner and outer rim components

A rim assembly for a tire includes an outer rim having an outer annular surface and an inner surface. The rim assembly also has an inner rim with an outer surface, wherein the inner surface of the outer rim has a first plurality of axial grooves that define a first plurality of axial ridges. The outer surface of the inner rim has a second plurality of axial grooves that define a second plurality of axial ridges. The second plurality of axial grooves have a cross-sectional geometry corresponding to a cross-sectional geometry of the first plurality of axial ridges, and the second plurality of axial ridges have a cross-sectional geometry corresponding to a cross-sectional geometry of the first plurality of axial grooves.

Automobile hub of multilayer rim, hub assembling method and automobile

An automobile wheel having a multilayer rim includes a wheel disc and a rim that is composed of at least two layers of metal rings by nesting, and a gap is preset between two adjacent metal rings; an outer side of one end of the wheel disc includes axial rim mounting grooves, and one end of the rim is inserted into the rim mounting grooves to fix the rim to the wheel disc.

DEVICE AND METHOD FOR ASSISTING WHEEL ASSEMBLIES

A device and method for assisting a user in aircraft wheel assemblies is disclosed herein. The device enables a single user to readily connect two wheel sections in a split wheel assembly. The device is lightweight and reusable and preferably includes two bushings, two washers, a bolt, and a nut. After inserting the bolt through the wheel sections, a nut can be tightened, thereby creating a compressive force that compresses the bushings and the wheel sections together. While the wheel sections are compressed together, a plurality of tie bolts and tie nuts can be installed on the wheel sections to complete the wheel assembly.
