Article Transport Facility
An overhead transport vehicle performs a first transfer operation of holding an article placed on a loading pedestal of a transport origin, and a second transfer operation of placing the article onto a loading pedestal of a transport destination. A control device causes a shooting device to obtain a first shot image of the upper face of the article placed on the loading pedestal of the transport origin, and adjusts the relative positional relationship between the holding portion and the article placed on the loading pedestal of the transport origin based on the first shot image and first reference image data, and causes the shooting device to obtain a second shot image of the upper face of the loading pedestal of the transport destination, and adjusts the relative positional relationship between the holding portion and the loading pedestal of the transport destination based on the second shot image and second reference image data.
LOADING/UNLOADING SYSTEM AND VEHICLE INTERFACE FOR A TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM AND METHODS OF USE
A modular loading and unloading system for a high-speed transportation system, the system including an airlock loading zone, at least one airlock arranged in the airlock loading zone and connecting the airlock loading zone to a transportation tube of the high-speed transportation system. The airlock loading zone is configured to receive a plural of capsules, payloads, and/or cars, and is operable to arrange the plurality of capsules, payloads, and/or cars for insertion into a high-speed transportation vehicle arranged in the airlock.
CABLEWAY INSTALLATION COMPRISING A RELAY STRUCTURE BETWEEN TWO CABLE LOOPS
The invention relates to a cableway installation for transporting persons by disengageable vehicles and carrying cable comprising: a first station (1a) equipped with a first end pulley, a second station (1b) equipped with a second end pulley, a relay structure equipped with a first idler pulley and a second idler pulley, a first cable loop engaged with the first end pulley and the first idler pulley, and a second cable loop engaged with the second end pulley and the second idler pulley. The relay structure comprises a transfer system for transferring vehicles between the first cable loop and the second cable loop and a fixed guiding track supporting a structure translationally moveable with respect to the fixed guiding track, the moveable structure bearing the first idler pulley, the second idler pulley and embarking the vehicle transfer system.
WHEELED VEHICLE STATION DOCKING USING A KNEELING LANDING GEAR SYSTEM
A method is disclosed for docking and undocking a hyperloop vehicle in a station. The method includes the step of extending a support system to a first position, wherein the support system engages a surface to support the hyperloop vehicle at a first elevation. The method further includes the steps of moving the hyperloop vehicle to a predetermined docking position and engaging a coupler to fixedly position the hyperloop vehicle relative to a docking platform.
DYNAMIC CONVEYOR SYSTEM FOR CUSTOM SIZED PACKAGING
A conveyor system includes a rail having one or more channels therein and one or more sleds operatively associated with the rail. A sled can include a body and one or more wheels mounted on the body and configured to move through the one or more channels in the rail. A sled can also include a holding device connected to the body. The holding device can be configured to engage a packaging container to move the packaging container along the rail. Multiple sleds can be used to secure a packaging container therebetween and move the packaging container along the rail. The conveyor system may also include a queue system that dynamically moves packaging containers to packaging stations.
Pneumatic propulsion system for high capacity transport of passengers and/or cargo
A propulsion system is composed of vehicles with four wheels having one of the axles connected to a pylon attached to the propulsion plate. The vehicles move over rails of elevated guideways supported by pillars. The top of the elevated guideways has longitudinal slots for allowing passage of pylons of propulsion plates. The elevated guideway is dual and has two power propulsion units for propulsion operation in a push and/or pull mode, one for each elevated guideway. The power propulsion units are installed inside the machine rooms under the pavement of the sob passenger stations supported on pillars. The power propulsion units are connected to the elevated guideways by means of connection ducts. Secondary propulsion ducts are disposed in parallel with the propulsion duct and integrated with its respective flow direction valve which allows that the air flow generated by the power propulsion unit is discharged in the propulsion duct in two distinct positions. The pneumatic propulsion arrangement is completed by isolation valve sets of the guideway section, atmospheric valve sets, set of four air flow control valves mounted in the connection ducts of the power propulsion units and flow direction valves.
Modular transfer units for delivering items
Modular transfer units are configured to transport bins or other storage units of standard shapes and sizes between locations. The modular transfer units may be loaded with bins or other storage units having items disposed therein at origins of the items, or at locations where the items are stored, such as fulfillment centers. The modular transfer units may then be mounted to one or more vehicles, such as trailers or rail cars, and transported to another location, where the modular transfer units may be removed from the vehicle, or transferred to another vehicle. The bins or other storage units may be loaded with items that are intended for delivery to a common location. After a bin or storage unit has been unloaded from a modular transfer unit, one or more other bins or storage units may be loaded thereon.

Railway facility with high throughput loop track
A railway facility with high throughput loop track includes a series of adjacent parallel staging tracks connected to a main line to receive and depart trains, arranged in a path so that trains transverse around the railway facility. A balloon loop track, which includes a loading or unloading facility, is connected to the staging tracks loops and reverses the direction of the train so that upon completion of loading or unloading a train can depart or be re-staged without requiring repositioning or turning of locomotives. Staging tracks are included for staging both arriving and departing trains. In alternative embodiments transload tracks and at-grade access roads allow storage and retrieval of cargo to interior space within the staging tracks, and an escape track allows expedited exit of trains from the balloon loop track.
