A storage container assembly for connecting to a frame of a vehicle has a mounting bracket defining at least one aperture adapted to receive at least one first anchor of the vehicle therein, a storage container mounted to the mounting bracket and having a cover, the cover having an open position providing access to an interior of the storage container and a closed position preventing access to the interior of the storage container, a sliding member translatable between a retracted position and an extended position, the sliding member being adapted to engage a second anchor of the vehicle, and an actuator for translating the sliding member from the retracted position to the extended position. The actuator is disposed at least in part in the interior of the storage container and is accessible when the cover is in the open position. A vehicle having the assembly is also disclosed.

A universal motorcycle storage case mounting assembly that detachably secures to a motorcycle or other vehicle, allowing a user to safely transport personal belongings to a destination. The mounting assembly utilizes two main componentsa base frame and a platform, with a storage case being couplable to the platform, forming a transportable storage case. In order to secure to a motorcycle or other vehicle, the mounting assembly utilizes a triple-locking system, including a base latch bracket that attaches to the motorcycle; a receipt on the platform; and a platform latch bracket, the receipt and the platform latch bracket configured to secure the platform to the base frame. As a result of the locking system, the storage case requires force to detach from the motorcycle, thereby preventing inadvertent detachment. Upon arrival at a destination, a rider can detach the transportable storage case, rather than leave belongings on the motorcycle.

A motorcycle is disclosed, which includes which includes a first and second saddlebag, a monitoring unit configured to monitor a tilt of the motorcycle, and a bag adjustment unit configured to lift the saddlebags when the tilt of the motorcycle exceeds a tilt threshold. A method and computer-readable storage medium are also disclosed, which facilitate various acts. These acts include facilitating a communication between a remote unit and the motorcycle, and controlling an aspect of at least one of the monitoring unit or the bag adjustment unit via the communication.

A theft prevention saddlebag receiver latch bracket may include a base and a guide ramp. A first sidewall and a second sidewall may couple the base and guide ramp together to form a lid latch hook cavity. The guide ramp may include a latch ramp surface and a retaining surface. The base may further include a latch stop and one or more mounting apertures. A lid latch hook may be guided by the guide ramp and sidewalls into the lid latch hook cavity. The retaining surface may engage with the lid latch hook to retain the lid latch hook in the lid latch hook cavity to limit vertical movement of the lid latch hook. Outward movement of the lid latch hook, away from the base, may be limited by the latch ramp surface, while inward movement of the lid latch hook, towards the base, may be limited by the latch stop.

A vehicle includes an electrical system which has at least one control unit and a first operator input device operably coupled to the at least one control unit. Additionally, the electrical system includes a second operator input device electrically coupled to the at least one control unit. The at least one control unit being operative to power on at least the engine. Also, the electrical system includes a security input device operably coupled to the at least one control unit. The at least one control unit is configured to transmit an actuation signal to the security input device in response to actuation of the first operator input device independent of actuation of the second operator input device and in response to actuation of the second operator input device independent of actuation of the first operator input device.

A saddlebag support apparatus includes at least two arms and a support frame with a geometric shape. The arms are removably connected, for example, to a rear section of a vehicle, for example, a motorcycle. The support frame extends from lower ends of the arms. The support frame defines a receptacle for receiving one or more attachment elements of a saddlebag to secure the saddlebag to the support frame. The saddlebag support apparatus includes an interconnecting member positioned and connected between the two arms for precluding deflection of the support frame when the saddlebag is mounted onto the support frame, thereby providing rigidity to the support frame. The saddlebag support apparatus includes one or more connector elements positioned at predetermined locations on an inner plane of the support frame for receiving and accommodating one or more attachment elements of the saddlebag to secure the saddlebag to the support frame.

Disclosed is a streamlined storage system for use with a motorcycle or other similar vehicle seat that does not detract from the riding experience, that is easy and convenient for the rider to access while riding, and that does not substantially increase the overall cost of the vehicle.

A bicycle mountable storage container is disclosed that includes mounting means for attaching the storage container to a bicycle, and a pair of doors on a top portion of the storage container. The storage container has an internal volume defined in party by opposing side walls, wherein the doors are movable from a closed position to an open position by generally moving away from each other, and subsequently down along the opposing side walls of the storage container.
