Mooring buoy shackle deflector
11433976 · 2022-09-06 ·

A deflector for a mooring buoy of the type having a raised shackle includes a mounting plate that has a top side, a bottom side, and at least one peripheral edge. A shackle aperture traverses a center portion of the mounting plate and is adapted for receiving the shackle therethrough. A cage projects upwardly from the at least one peripheral edge of the mounting plate and terminates at an upper rim. The cage has a plurality of apertures therethrough and two or more tie apertures adjacent the shackle aperture. In use, the shackle of the buoy is inserted into the shackle aperture and the cage is rotated 90-degrees to secure the deflector to the buoy. Ties are then fastened through the tie apertures and the through the shackle to further secure the deflector to the mooring buoy.

MOBILE PLATFORM AND OSCILLATING MECHANISM FOR COATING FLAT SURFACES

The present invention refers to a working assembly for a painting system, containing a mobile platform and a crank and slider-type oscillating mechanism, which reproduces movements transmitted to a shaft and that guides a paint gun, mimicking the process performed by painters. Thus, the mobile platform and the oscillating mechanism were designed to move unidirectionally over the surface, being able to move in two orthogonal directions and also to rotate in order to keep the platform level.

CABLE ROBOT FOR COATING PROCEDURES

The present invention refers to an automated painting system on oil ships, being executed by a mobile platform and an oscillating arm. The assembly only works due to the control of cables, winders and wheels. This approach is aimed at painting large vertical walls. The painting deck suspension uses four cables, each connected to a pivot on the mobile platform, and two fixed pivots plus four winders. The winders contain a servo motor in a synchronous serial network. The cables are made of reduced-weight polyethylene. Each cable is connected exclusively to one winder. Suspension is achieved with the aid of two adapted cranes and initialization through the addition of a giraffe-type crane.

UNDERWATER SHIP ATTACHMENT USED TO DIVERT AIR, BUBBLES, DEBRIS, ICE, AND PRESSURE FLUCTUATIONS
20210316826 · 2021-10-14 ·

An objective of the present invention is to provide an underwater ship attachment that is used to divert air, debris, and pressure fluctuations. More specifically, the present invention discloses an anti-cavitation device (such as a diverter device) for flat-bottom boats. The air diverter has been developed to regain, enhance, and protect the operational function of propulsive and steering equipment among displacement and semi displacement hulls. As with protect items such as bottom mounted depth sounder transducers, intakes for engine or general cooling, sea chests, keel coolers, zincs, and all other underwater mounted items susceptible to air ingestion, air disturbance malfunction or debris impact.
